Which one should I get?

I've been seriously deciding of getting an nitro truck for a while now, and since this is gonna be my first one, I don't know how to mantain, clean or care for these cars. Since I am on a lower budget, around 100 dollars, I have narrowed it down to 2 ads on craigslist, a Jato, or a Nitro Sport. And now here's the question, Which one should I get??
(little note: something is wrong with the jato, I don't understand what)

If you're on such a low budget to begin with I don't believe a used RC is the place to start. Especially a used nitro RC. While they may be less expensive in the beginning it will more than likely end up being more expensive to replace, upkeep and maintain since most parts are already on their way to the trash bin. I would suggest saving up just a little bit more money and either purchasing new or finding another low price deal like you have, but with a little more of a cash buffer in case something does go wrong down the road.

If the Hobby Shop the Jato seller is referring to is correct this is what is needed for replacement:

However, the Jato seller didn't sound like he was very educated about his product since he both wasn't sure about the name of the replacement part nor did he have the drive to fix it with what could be a simple $12 part. Since he doesn't seem very educated, there may be more than just that $12 part broken.. Plus, no pictures, no nothing...? Meh..

Cheers,
Kyle.

this is just my 2cents, but before you get a nitro i think it mite be best if you get a electric car (mini lst, slash, e revo, ect...) a nitro has to be cleaned just about every run. and when the engine goes out on you, your really done...

Oh ok, after all this info shared, I 'm just gonna save up those pennies for a brand new electric rc before crossing the border to nitro. Thanks everyone!

BIG mistake to jump right to nitro. I learned that the hard way. Really fun to drive though, but electrics have a faster pickup, are cheaper, and easier to maintain.
