Simple Dully Wheel TUT

Ok well i finally desided to make this. What i will show how to make is a simple dully(sp?)wheel for the xtruck. this will only work really with the offroad rims. its veryyy easy and no gluing and no cutting(exept wire)is needed. it is totally reversable so if you dont want dullys anymore just cut the wire and remove. READ WHOLE TUT FIRST TO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO Also if you only have 1 offroad kit then at the end of the tut you will need to use a stock tire infront due to the fact that you will end up using all the 4 offroad tires

Things needed
1.Wire twine(maily used to hold things together. can be found in twist ties.)
2.Wire snips
3.Needle nose pliars
4.Wheel wrentch
5.4 Offroad truck rims(2 per side)

First step..
Gather up your materiels

Next.. Put the tires next to each other and put the wrentch next to the tires
this will act as a guage for the length of wire
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0021.jpg

Then cut the wire
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...IMG_0023-1.jpg

Then bend the wire to a U shape so the ends are the same lengh
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...IMG_0026-1.jpg

Then send the wire threw the small holes(threw the back of the rim)
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0027.jpg

Then bend the end so it flat agaist the back of the rim
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...IMG_0030-1.jpg

Then on the front bend the wires down so they stay on
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0031.jpg

After just bolt on the rim as usual
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0033.jpg

Then (blurry pic sorry) bend the wires so they are pointing up in the air
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0034.jpg

Ok then take the wires that are stcking up and send them threw the holes on the back of the second rim. liek so
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0037.jpg

The wires should now be sticking threw both rims and should also be sticking out the top of the second rim
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0038.jpg

Use your fingers to twist the wires together to make the rims tighter together
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0039.jpg

After you use your fingers.use a pair of needle nose pliars to tighten the wires even more
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...r/IMG_0042.jpg
(warning do not overtighten may snap wire then have to start over)

You shoudl now have the 2 tires tight together from a side view it should look liek this
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...IMG_0043-1.jpg

Now your all done
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...IMG_0044-1.jpg

That is how i made my dully tires since i first got the offroad kit. it is pretty simple to follow

comments are welcome and apprectated =)

if you need anything more clear or pics of anything else please let me know

nice and easy.. won't probably hold as strong as super glue though :P but at least you don't have to waste the tires.. since super glue.. you can't really separate the 2 tires anymore once you glue it :x

i customised an axle by taking the metal part out and replacing it with the gen front axle and gluing it to the plastic part of the evo axle then found some old rims and shaved out the d shaped hole and the outside tire went on like normal and the inside one just slid on and it worked great.just thought i would tell you how i did it.
