Reverse messed up

My brand new GTR had an accident when my cat got in the way so I turned right into a wall full speed :roll_eye: Now it seems to be grinding gears when I go into reverse. I took it apart and couldn't seem to figure out what was slipping. It is completely stock. If anyone has an idea on what is wrong please let me know. PM's are fine and quicker.

Heyo his happens to me a a lot. What exactly did you take apart? Make sure you put it back together tight and secure. The crash MAY have jostled it a little bit. If it still grinds that means that your transfer gear/spur Gear is shot. That's the blueish one in your gear box.;) if thats broken then I suggest investing in a stage 2 motor.:nod:

Maybe the motor cradle is chipped/cracked? Mine chipped and it didn't work for awhile.

I took apart the gear box...idk what each gear and part is called lol

I just bought another one again so i may just play around with this one minus the walls and get parts for the other. Ive heard aluminum is the way to go...

aluminum for gears?? nah.. not needed

the light blue gear is called a "spur"
and the black one is called the "pinion"

Well i took out the motor because xmodsunlimited said something about a stage 2 motor (im looking into that next paycheck) and i realized it popped out of place some. It now works just fine. Thanks unlimited

The blue one is the one that goes from the pinion to the wheels in a sense?

I was looking at other aluminum parts, cant say I've seen aluminum gears though.

yes that is the one the spur connects the pinion to the diff gear

pinion= the one thats on the motor
spur= the smaller blue one
diff= the big blue one
