nitrorcx.com? good? bad?
 

i was looking on nitrorcx.com, and they have some awesome deals on rc's(electric,nitro,brushless). but i was wondering if any of these rc's are worth the money? some look kinda cheap, but i'd like to know if these are good rc's, and if this website is reliable. any help would be appreciated, and could possibly lead to me getting my first nitro!:bigwink: :D

your not going to regret anything more, than buying a cheap R/C that you cant get parts for easily and locally When you break it. Which you will.

Honeslty a traxxas or HPI is not that much more expensive. And the quality of them is SOOOO much nicer. plus theres thousands of people who can help you with them, get you parts for them. etc....

Cheap is not the way to go.

when you get into 1/10th or 1/8th nitro or brushless, purrty much every 3rd time you drive them somthing is going to break, nitro is not a cheap hobby.

if you cant afford a $30 part at least once a week, then its not the hobby for you.

and as stated by SPR Traxxas is very nice stuff. i have i think 2 of theirs.

when the traxxas rustler electric vxl? er is it the vlr? idk. but when it goes 75 out of the box you know you cant go wrong.

x2. If you like driving your R/C's on a daily bases, but dont have atleast a $100 dollar a month budget to support that, 1/10th scale hobby grade is not the hobby for you.

fuel alone is $30 bucks a gallon now days if your into nitro... and a gallon doesnt last me a month when i drive my trucks on a regular bases. i always buy 2 gallons every trip to my hobby store. i dont make it there very often, maybe once every 3 months, but every time i go, i never leave spending less than 200 bucks...

If you count all the broken parts, and fuel, and replacement parts, and well absolutly everything, i easily have over $3000 invested into my Tmaxx alone. I have over $500 invested just in aftermarket parts to keep it from breaking.

Can you get parts for those? not that i saw in a quick glance... So that would basically say dont buy it.

They are cheap. and will be a bigger waste of money than buying a nice name brand.

i think yu answered your own question when you said they look cheap..

buy a traxxas, hpi, losi or a jammin, you wont be dissapointed.

Electric = good for begiiners and gets them into the hobby easily and parts can be cheaper. All you need when buying a RTR kit is a 7.2v battery pack and the AA's for the transmitter.

Nitro = for the more experienced driver and costs a heap!
Fuel @ 15.00/Ltr (or) 40.00/4Ltr
Glow plugs 5.00 ea.
Pull starters go quite often and cost 30.00 a pop
broken parts like mentioned above = approx 30.00+ wk
still need a 7.2v pack if you run a rotostart system
needs a 6v hump pack for the servos

you got to be rich to have a nitro and if you do get a ebay account!!!! and you never get the money back.

you dont need to be rich.....thats stereotypical...

you need to be dedicated and willing to put forth the effort to maintain a vehical.

it can quickly become a lifestyle.

its now my life until i can get my lisence back haha, im working on my savage everyday now since i cant go anywhere unless my gf picks me up, yea it blows. ebay is now my weakness, im always ordering parts now.

you do not need to be rich man, the RTR kits ....yes, are expensive but once you get that its all cool. But like mentioned, its quickly turned into a lifestyle

yeah we are not trying to scare people away from it. just forwarning.

no matter how much you spend there a blast! even better if you have friends with them, unfortunitly i dont but still i manage to have so much fun.

Get a good electric first, not Exceed Crap. CEN is good, not crap like Exceed which Nitro RCX sells both but CEN is actually good stuff. I would say save up the extra bucks and buy Traxxas, HPI, Losi, etc...whatever your LHS sells. Don't buy something because it goes 70mph because I guarantee you will not be able to controll it and break it. The fun of the hobby is to get something that is built to last and will take some abuse. If it's your first good rc, go micro and buy one of the Losi Micro's. Easy to maintain, durable, drive almost anywhere. Sure I'm making most of My RC's Brushless or upgrading a Nitro Engine in the near future but that is because I have experience with the good stuff. Gettin someone else to drive with is a great addition to the fun. Buy something that has parts readily available. Traxxas is probably the biggest of the bunch. Buy a Traxxas electric, it will not disappoint. Like I said, start with electric. Slash is a good one because its fast and waterproof. Mine is great. I don't break parts a week. Depends how I bash, can be a day lol. BL Micro DT v.s. Roof to ground manytimes=many broken parts

CEN? just make sure you have a local hobby that carries it!!
imho....stay with higher popular brands such as HPI, TRX, AE, etc..
