Nissan Titan audio
Over the past day or 2 I have been working on an audio system for my titan. Because I already have a rock crawler I've decided to do a custom truck for indoor driving and for show.
To start the box I had an old pen box, wood glue (couldn't find any others in my house:roll_eye: ), and a set of old headphones. I took the headphones apart, each speaker 3cm in diameter, and built a box around one of the outter shells for the headphone. The speaker box was glued in 5 or 6 pieces so that I could eventually get a fiberglass look to it. It really hasnt been hard at all, it just takes a while because of the glue. Anyways here is what I started with: http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/2...2049ff0.th.jpg Starting of the shell: http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/6...2052sp8.th.jpg http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/5...2060ni1.th.jpg Ive got more done since but dont have any pics yet,...anyways heres a speaker Im using: http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/6...2070wb0.th.jpg I've just added a fresh layer of bondo over it so I will post more pics up later once I sand it.:bigwink: Over the next few days I will be finishing this box and starting on the other speaker. Ill be sure to keep you updated with the progress. Later, bc_edition |

Hey guys, its been a while since I started this thread but I had exams to do so I havent really done much but anyways here are some pics of the progress.
I think this was the start of the putty: http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/746/stuff010zh1.th.jpg Heres after the final pieces of card glued in place and another layer of putty ( not sanded): http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/2...f012bx5.th.jpg Heres after sanding that layer: http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/8...f014su3.th.jpg http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/6...f015hb5.th.jpg I have added another layer and sanded since, so now im going to do a quick wet sand and paint the box. I think its going to turn out pretty sweet.:thumleft: Ill post more pics up soon:roll_eye: |

What is going to be your source of music? That is deffinaltly sweet. Just even out the bumps and bulges and it'll look sweet as hell. What color paint are you doing?

itll be hard(probably impossible)but ill have to try that in my firebird

I dont have any pics tonight, but will probably tomorrow. My source of music will be an old mp3 player under the body ( if I can fit it) But if not Im just going to use it as show and just plug it into my computer:eyecraz: Im thinking of either flat black or red to match the truck. I dont really know yet, Im going to paint tomorrow probably, ( just started semester 2 so ive been busy), anyways if I do paint Ill have pics up:thumleft:

I'm thinking of doing that on a truck that will fit on my G35 chassis. Kinda lowrider like this http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/sh...hp?i=2734&c=25 but lower. Anyone know where to get a body like that. i doesn't have to be a toyota but a truck. How would i make it fit?
