jumping

how risky is it jumping the xmod...can its chassis handle it?

Doc4465 08-10-2006 11:50 AM

well if its off a roof , it wont make it , but like off a lil ramp.
it'll do well , wont die.

you mite crack your body in half , but its not my xmod. do what ever you want.

bahasad 08-10-2006 12:34 PM

Doc4465 08-10-2006 01:02 PM

yeah i jumped mine off a little ramp and i just chiped the front bumper

ericjr 08-10-2006 03:34 PM

The custom front bumper is lower than the stock one, use the stock on for the most clearence, and using a 4x4 F-150 or H2 would be the safest if your worried about cracking a bumper.

how much money do you guys have to burn im sorry but you guys are rich mofos like seriously i spent like 200 on my g35 and jumping it would be the last thing on my mind becuase its pretty obvious how much damage you can do. and why is it so fascinating to jump off something. if it was a monster truck cool cuz itll probably land wheels down and still keep going, but a tiny xmod (especially a car). use your senses people if you dropped your computer somethings going to mess up so take care of it and use your xmod in what it was meant to do, racing, or offroading

RallyWRX 08-10-2006 05:21 PM

I saw these xmod and mini z tracks that these people sell and they sell a little jump for them too. If you jump it off a low smooth ramp, it'll probably be OK. The problem with jumping is that you always want to go higher and farther. I would suggest jumping it on carpet, that will absorb some of the impact (short carpet of course, thick carpet doesn't work.) I would also suggest using the stiffest springs available, that will help a little bit. You could also try jumping it into a bunch of pillows or onto the lawn if you really want to go high. Have you seen the house jump? It wasn't an xmod but it was cool. It's probably on Youtube.

bengali548 08-10-2006 07:46 PM

just saw the video how fast do you think that guy was going

edit : see those wheels THATS a car that could handle a jump cuz the wieght of the wheels would make it so that the car didnt land upside down

bahasad 08-10-2006 08:08 PM

i already broke a few things jumping my car...i think today was the last time i would jump...i got quite a few scratches on my lancer :(

bengali548 08-10-2006 11:16 PM

yea but you can still mess up your chassis

bahasad 08-10-2006 11:22 PM

yea i totally agree...u shud have spare bodys but it can still destroy your chassis...today i ruined some part but luckily there was a replacement with my kit. I was racing it in my buildings garage...awesome. sadly i destroyed my lancer's evo jumping off my dad's cars roof. now i am lookin for a body kit.
