You need to focus the camera... Teasing is frowned upon.

Mmmmm....delicious aluminum goodies....

xmodzracer 08-11-2008 11:42 AM

So far i see an aluminum lower deck and some metal lugs. i wanna take a guess and say your going all alumimum?

c1v1c 08-11-2008 11:47 AM

Its a handcut chassis. My first one actually so its not perfect, the template i made werent 100% straight but its still fine.

And for now, There is only stock part on t. picture as soon as i get further.

But what if you go too fast, and smash into wall?

That thing would be tin foil afterwards.

Start counting the number of aluminum chassis out on the market.. ;) Plus with propper bracing, and learning to drive, it will hold up plenty fine.

If you do plan any CF later on, www.dragonplate.com is the best source for it. CowboySiR praises it highly on all his projects.

And flexiable. You'll want some cross bracing with something, driveshaft binding is a PITA.

Looks great though. You want to cut me a copy when your done with it?
I won't need anything cut for batteries, motor mount, or electronics, just like what you have now?

mustanglover 08-11-2008 11:25 PM

nice! how much would one of them cost.

maybe spray the red arms black or silver.

I'd be happy to cut one for you. But it would be in a while tho.

I might mount the servo and the motor on one side and the batteries on the other, that would be the best setup for the best CG as i can think of.

EDIT:

Yah, I think that's the best you could do. I've been thinking of doing it up with the motor and the servo up front, batteries (Li-Po's) in rear at some point though...

Oh, and I like the red as well. Makes it different and really works with the alluminum.

scoter 08-12-2008 11:19 AM

XMDrifter 08-12-2008 11:26 AM
