Car seems to have dead spots
I have a Evo running lipo's and an Amanna II motor. I use it for the drags. It seems to cut out 2~3 times :-? going down the track. Any ideas? Also how long will Lipo batteries last?

Sounds like it could be a range issue...
If you lipos are still in decent shape you should get 20 minutes out of them on a full charge just remember to charge them when the power starts to die.... |
Has your chassis antenna hit the motor at all, like the negative or positive parts ??

I dont know much about the Amanna II motor but under high current draw your receiver is being robbed of power which backs up what B1G says. Add to that the fact that xmods do not come with the best radio gear around. Check your motor caps, you should have 3... they can play severe havoc on radio range and operation.

As far as I know the antana has never been grounded out. The motor caps, it only came with 2. I never seen a 3 cap set-up. I have the same motor in 2 other cars with no problem. The lipo problem was with a nother car. The Car dinos fine but on the track it is a dog. Like the motor has the RPM but no torque.

Well if the lipo problem was with another car then I would say it's probably a problem with the lipos.

is the track inside?
|
I have that same problem, Cehck and make sure all crystals are in right, make sure both anntennas are in right.
I found my problem is im in side, in a underground basement. |
i've noticed with some hobby grade cars and my xmods, that if you're inside, and your track is lit by flourecent(?) lights, the lights interfere with the frequency and cause that to happen.

mod the remote to take a larger/longer antenna. that'll help a bit. then add the 3rd cap on the motor.
maybe you might also want to replace the battery on the remote. |
Yes on the inside track. Where do you solder in the third cap?
|
There should be one from positive to can, one from negative to can, and one from positive to negative.

Thanks
