v2.2 board chip

If you go to atomic mods v2.2 Q&A they say that the v2 board has a mystery chip is that the chip they use so u don't get steering jitters. If so can u use that chip on the main board with stack fets so u don't have to have the xtra board. I think what the chip does is sends 6 volts back. thanks

wut. please type in a more organized manner?

anwyays, the v2.2 is a voltage regulated board. Yes, it will regulate voltage going to your board so you don't get jitters, but it's large, bulky, and rather inefficient. However, it's not so simple as to just "use that chip" because we don't know the chip's ID, and therefore don't know the chip's pin-out pattern, nor how they implemented the logic for the voltage regulation. it's not as simple as you may make it out to be. learn some electrical engineering, and you'll start seeing what i'm getting at.

What didnt you like about the board? Just curious

bulky, power delivery was a bit rough. handled current, but wiring was a pain

My Q. is why can't u stack the fets on the stock board and make a smaller board with the other fets so it's smaller.would that work.

why dont you guys like them..i just ordered one...ive been seeing mixed opinions on them...i juss dont feel like i could stack fets...

I don't like it because its big so I thought stack fets and put the rest of the chips on a smaller board.I just bought a new 370 and I might put in the new mini z brushless system in it when it comes out.but I would like to do something with the fets first to see how it runs
