My first vehicle (I had my motorcycle before I had my first car) was a 1981 Honda CB200 Twinstar. My first car was a 1994 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight. I actually kinda miss my first car... For a big, clunky Oldsmobile, it was kinda fun to drive. The Honda... Well... That thing was a piece of crap... Hardly had enough power to get itself going.

Funny thing is the day I got the check from insurance was the same day I get a call from the police saying they found it abandoned on the side of the road XD

Isn't a bobber supposed to be an American bike? And I hope you either have experience, or a smaller bike to learn on, because jumping right on a 500 is not exactly a good idea...

Edit: And I hope you know the true definition of "bobber" because some bikers take things like that very serious, and if you make a "custom" bike and call it a "bobber" you are going to catch a lot of flak.

well i have been riding dirt bikes and qauds for a long time. i have even rode my dads 2000 Harley sportster sport (1200cc) that was rebuilt with high performance parts. my dad and all of his freinds (who are bikers) are helping me put it togeather. it's not gunna be a chromed out shiney bike, you ever seen "the horse" magizine? kinda like the stuff in that. so i geuse it's not realy a bobber more of like a oldschool backstreet chopper.

Okay, I just don't want to see another kid killed because he couldn't handle his first bike. And like I said, watch what you call it, because a bobber and a chopper are very different.
