Good BRUSHED motor for a 2wd slash
I'm looking for a new BRUSHED motor for my slash it's 2wd and it has a hpi firebolt and I'm looking for more speed with out sacrificing the torque that the firebolt has
I'm looking for a motor under 50$ anyone got ideas? :-? |
i had lots of luck from a chameleon 19T in my blitz
|
look on ebay for the trinity speed gems series motors
something in the 16t-18t range should be really good, and A LOT better than the titan 12t if you want something that will last you a lifetime http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...otor-Motor-19T get that, its probably one of the best motors i own, even though it is a back-up stormerhobbies.com has fantom racing motors which are race quality motors, and you'll be burning through brushes all the time, but they are INCREDIBLE and they run COLD.. and i mean.. COLD, after speed runs, on the track, off the track, its COLD |
I'm pretty sure the Titan is not actually 12t it's more like 17 but as I said I have a hpi firebolt 540 and slash uses 550 and also burnt an xl5 with the firebolt but got a free replacement! I just want a good motor because I bash and race the same car

the titan 12t is really a 12t 550, which equals up roughly to a 20t 540 but its a closed can motor, its not efficient, and isnt meant for any application.. at all, the 19t epic motor i linked will blow the 12t out the water the 19t should also blow the firebolt out the water too rebuildable motor>closed can |
Where can I get wire to rewind 550 motors it's gotta be way bigger than my wire I use for xmods and zs
I thinking about the one from amain.... Have any experienc with it |
amainhobbies, stormerhobbies, horizonhobby, towerhobbies all have 100% good reputation, and ive ordered from each and every one of them
something in the 14awg thickness should be perfectly fine, but the bigger, the better |
I meant the motor the bird one
|
oh oh, my bad, i read it as if you wanted wires for the motor-esc connection
you cant rewind the titan 12t. its a closed can motor, you cant take the rotor out without cutting though the can with a dremel |
Nonononon I was just saying I want to know if youve use the ultra bird motor from amain
|
oh yea, i have one, and i keep it is a back-up motor because i know it wont ever fail on me
|
Speed? Torque?
|
its gonna torquier and faster than the titan 12t
more turns=more torque, less speed less turns=more speed, less torque lemme put it this way with the right gearing, you can hit 40mph with this motor and have an awesome amount of torque |
