projects for others
well first off is musclecar201's vette. got in yesterday got to work on it today. got all the lights out, and most of the sanding done. this one had a couple spots on the window that needed fixed up, so its getting a repaint a little different from the traditional black rs windows. gotta was the body off, do some taping and get the windows shot. this one wont have many updates as he wants a surprise on the final product, so i might throw up some teaser's here and there. well here's some pics of what i go sot far

the exhaust pipes on the corvette are fake!:o :-? i need to sit down...color?i hope the hood will be the same color and not half black

^do what now? its an electric r/c car, you expect the exhaust tips to be functional?.......
should be a good build, cant wait to see what you do with the windows, you've got me wondering what you're gonna do there...hmmmm looking forward to updates |

i wasn't sure how to recreat drama and/or almost passing out over the web so i tried to make do, failed, but w/e. I was trying to lengthen my first post, when i post short ones i always feel kinda rude

well i am going to replace the hood. there is a corner that is liifted up by the front window and its starting to bug me, especially after laying this couple coats. need to let it dry, sand and shoot some more coats. well heres a little teaser

well i got the 3rd color laid. took 20 minutes to mask the car. 10 of it was spent getting the front bumper just right. and there isnt much red left on it. lol

Looking really good zippo... thats a really nice classic color combo you picked!!
At the moment it looks a little orange peely...? Is that just because it needs a good sanding and clear coating?? |

ok, so this one didnt get put on the back burner, i spent a while fixing the textured paint. the paint was supposed to be ready to shoot, but it wasnt. i wetsanded everything down, and the black was fixed by that. the red i tried reshooting, with less pressure, more pressure, a little more thinner, a lot more thinner. and well it never turned out right. so i bought a different colot red. lets just say problem fixed. there has also been a lot of progress on the new hood for this. no pictures of those until its all revealed...... so until then heres some pics.

i was wondering where this went...liking the progress...lets see that hood...are you finding good ways to use up some of those vette bodykits???
