Gmc#2 Project Completed 7/19/07
Ok guys, I was busy for a couple of days, and I also didn't have a camera to take pics; I just got a new camera today and things have calmed down so here's my 3rd xmod truck project.
This is what I started with: '84 GMC truck http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/s5301917.jpg The Chasis: F-150 xmod chasis with a few mods http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/s5301908.jpg Servo motor mod: HS-50 servo used with custom spur gear and on/off switch option http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/s5301915.jpg Functional winch: mirco servo used (cheaper brand) with custom spool and on/off switch also http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/s5301912.jpg And finally, since I had already started some work on it I just thought I should post the 1st progress pic now: I widened the wheel wells, added a custom windshield visor, and working on the rest of the custom offroad side flares http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/103_0002.jpg More progress pics to come soon. |

|
I would like to know how does he almost always get the interior to fit it still puzzles me after i tried about 3 different models. Looks like one of your other models.

psst i know it was a corny joke hahah |
Thanks guys! I appreciate all the cool comments!:)
I do drive them around also - it's the only way I make sure everything is secure and durable. They may have that "shelf queen quality work" but I run these babies for fun and I build them tuff too with stand it the terrain, the only thing that ever needs touch-ups is the paint but I don't always try to scuff it too much.:bigwink: |
not bad
|
another one of your great work!
edit: is that the expedition chassis because i see the black parts |
xomdificationer it cant be the ex. chasis it doesn't have the spring set up
|
thats going to be an excellent project, along with the expedition, blazer, g35 roadster, other gmc, all the trail rigs, the army f-50's.

Updates on project - 7/3/07
Hey guys, sorry for taking so long to update this one. I've been busy with my job and i have also been doing some other project on the side for a customer too.
Anyways, here's what I did so far: I've widened the wheel wells and added the fender flares on all 4 sides already. I just need to sand them alittle bit more for that smooth look then i have to work out how to mount the rear clip in place. I have also removed the winch from the chasis and will be placing it under the hood of the model itself - this is due to an additional feature that will be added soon. Here's a couple pics of it so far: http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/103_0162.jpg The winch is going to be placed under the body after the paint job is completed. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/103_0173.jpg Just a Mock set up of the body on the chasis - no mount clips are on there at this moment. More updated to come soon! |
