Hobbyking is the savior of modding

Hobbyking knows what's up. ****ing awesome. I don't even want the new xmods anymore....
I can't contain myself right now, and knowing Hobbyking it will be less than 50$

Wow I don't even know what to say. Can't wait till its out

dr1ftGTR 10-08-2013 08:33 PM

That looks pretty cool. I might have to give this a try, looks like it should be fun to drive. Interested in seeing what other bodies will be offered.

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-08-2013 08:39 PM

The dimensions of it are very close to mini z bodies. I plan on getting some lexan mini z bodies when I get mine ( already decided I'm getting it )

dr1ftGTR 10-08-2013 09:02 PM

Yeah in watching that video again, he does mention that the length of the chassis can be adjusted which is nice. I might look into picking up one of these as well because I've pretty much decided that I won't be getting the new xmods. It looks to be pretty tunable and I like the chassis layout

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-08-2013 09:18 PM

Yea I'm gonna keep checking on Hobbyking to see when it comes out. I'm going to send atomic mods an email about this one.

dr1ftGTR 10-08-2013 09:26 PM

Cool. Keep us updated here, I'd like to see what your impression is when you get it.

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-10-2013 06:57 AM

According to a rep from Hobbyking it's going to be less than 50$ and some of the brushless motors they already have in stock will be drop in upgrades

Cheezman found this:

http://www.egrracing.com/shop/index....oducts_id=5599

Appears to be the same chassis, branded under Mini-Q (which is Turnigy, according to a little Google-Fu).

It looks like Hobbyking ordered a few, upgraded the shell, servo, and battery to make it (hopefully) better.

There is some promise to Hobbyking parts, and depending on the price, I'll probably pick one up.

Cheers,
Kyle

Yea I saw that too. But I was told its the other way around. Egr racing bought from Hobbyking, if you notice on Egr the mini q comes with a Hobbyking transmitter

atomic that makes all the mini z parts is making one

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-11-2013 07:50 PM

That thing looks very similar to the new warrior mini that looks like the Hobbyking car...... They might all be made in the same plant with different electronics... But who knows

bosco72 10-11-2013 11:19 PM

im going to buy the hobby king one first then atomic hope the hobby king one comes out like now

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-12-2013 09:33 AM

The hobbyking one should be coming soon. Usually their new products come about a week after the video. When they come out this is what im ordering.

From Hobbyking:
Mini-Q Chassis Price:35-70(estimate0
Flysky Fsgt3b transmitter Price: 33

From ebay
Lexan skyline/evo8/370z body Price: 10
Pn 50tbb price: 20

Then i have a solid racer to replace my zmod (hopefully)

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-12-2013 06:48 PM

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-17-2013 01:04 PM

dr1ftGTR 10-17-2013 08:48 PM

Not sure on the motor, but that is awesome news with the mini-q. Definitely post pics and a review once you get it. I'd be a lot more interested in it if mini-z bodies and wheels fit. I'm assuming the body posts will be removable then?

AntxmodMiniz12322 10-17-2013 09:40 PM

It seems so

Who's investing in these? Does this mean you guys are inclined to try using lexan bodies at 1:28 scale?

I have a plastic fabrication workshop where I can make lexan bodies and master molds for them. Let me know what cars I might be able to help you guys out with ;)
