Gen 1 AWD problem

My Skyline just received AWD and after instalng it my steering is horrible. Any thing that can fix it? And I'm not sure this is part of the problem but I remember somone saying something about the red gear for AWD?

Thats what happend to my Gen. 1 also. I just trimmed away some unused extra plastic parts on the front of the chasis. I'm not sure why the AWD kit on Gen. 1 have problems. I'd stick to the EVO's instead. All of Xmods RC has both downsides and goodsides. lol

Horrible? Like it's inconsistant, it only turns one way good, or it's decreased?

Do you have the gear diff in the front or the back? If the ball diff is up front, you might want to try loosening it a bit. Also check for binding. Make sure the Servo Horn is in place on the little thing on the tie rod..

Got pictures? You need to be more specific.

vwbug, try centering your servo horn.

i'm having that problem with an evo and the steering mod. it goes left in an excessively tight circle, and right is left at a slight angle. i'm not threadjacking, just making a point that it's common,, but, still, any help[is appreciated.

I centered the servo and trimmed some stuff and the steering is better. I think I'll live with it for now. But My brothers STI has a red tie rod. But my kit did not come with one. Was it supposed to?
P.S. Firebird I love your avatar do you have any bugs?
