Project: DIY Lift Kit
Well, I wanted to lift my Hummer and quite frankly, I didn't want to pay $40+ for a new lift kit. So instead, I took stock suspension parts and drop kit parts to make myself a lift kit. So far, I've only got the back done, but I'm working on the front right now.
Here are just a bunch of photos of what I've done so far. http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1066.jpg http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1105.jpg http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1106.jpg http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1109.jpg http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1113.jpg Compared to a real lift kit: http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1111.jpg How it sits right now: http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1115.jpg |
Awsome, now you just need to makes some molds and mass produce them for a low price. :D
|
Man, great idea, but can they take any abuse?
|
that looks like it would also work on a evo/street, it would make a b/a rally kit

Wow, very nice work man. Just paint the arms in it will be one sleek lift. but is it just me or does the front look a little taller than the rear? (maybe its just the angle)
|
I wanna say it is too... Its kinda weird... I can't really tell though.

The tie rod is finished.
http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1932.jpg http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1933.jpg The whole thing is basically finished now. Just a few cuts here and there and I need to get the whole drivetrain to work propery. http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/a...5/IMG_1934.jpg Finally. A project I finished. |
Looking good. I like the creativeness! The pictures make the Trucks look so much bigger than they are. Well at least to me lol.
