CC's next rig build.
Well after a long time away from xmods, I miss them. Plain and simple. However Im not quite as fond of cars as I used to be so most of my upcoming projects will be Rig/truck related only. Some builds may be using a car chassis due to low numbers of truck chassis, but final product will be a truck. I will be updating topics on STLR 2 days before on other forums.
Anyways enough jibberish, time to get to the good stuff. Project: Custom Mack Rubber Duck tractor trailer. Drivetrain: 3 axles total, dual rear drive axles. Budget:$100 Here are some pictures for those who don't know what these look like: http://images.google.com/images?q=ma...-8&sa=N&tab=wi BTW if anyone forgot about my other 2 xmod rigs, heres pics of them: http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...h_DSC02711.jpghttp://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...h_DSC02402.jpg Stay tuned for Updates. |
cool.. i like the idea of xmod big rigs..
|
Small update, since I bought the mack using an MO it will be a week or 2 before I get it to work on. So in the mean time, Peterbilt #3 !!! I had to do something so I went to my LHS and picked this up for 12 bucks.

A.D.D. Strikes again!
Will he use another truck next week? Who knows. |
you should get a passenger jet model with the wings knocked off and the stubs smoldering. basically the same chassis, but a much cooler body.
|
Well this peterbilt is gonna be different, its gonna be a day cab, so no sleeper for this one. So I chopped it off.

Looks like a great project, I'll have to keep my eyes on it. Those other two trucks are sweet! Really nice job on them. :bigwink:

Cut part of the chassis off. (look at last pic for reference at what part I cut off) It was a PIA to cut off without damaging the rest of the chassis.
http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...3/DSC03156.jpg BTW does anyone know why my first pics are always links? |
thats a sick project. i like that guy. rubber ducky. from convoy.

It looks really great man. Glad you have come back. Can't wait for paint. |
CC I think it's cause there is a space in the album name. I heard something about that a while ago.
Anyways it's looking real good/smooth and I can't wait ;) to see the color! Skys |
Looks awesome so far dude.
I fixed the posts with the links. Because you put a space in the album name, it puts a % sign in the image link which some BB forums tend to mess up with on the quick replys. If you type it up in the advanced replay it comes out fine. |
Oh ok thanks for the headsup and thanks for fixing the links texan.
|
What scale are these new models??
I believe that when I built my rig it was 1:28, i.e. exactly the same as an XMOD, and that caused me some problems as it was a tight fit... your rigs always seem to go together a bit better so I'm guess that they are 1:26?? |
