Zebra's Xmods
Hi all.
Thought it about time I share some pictures of my collection. Hope you like them. Thes are all on working chassis. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6775.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6776.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6777.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6778.jpg Thes are just body shells. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6785.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6786.jpg |
I'm loving this collection, expecially a the lancer, white NSX, and Orange subbie. Nice pics, nicely cleaned cars, you're obviously kept them in really good shape.
|
Nice collection! Let me know if you ever want to get rid of that blue WRX shell
|
Wow, nice collection, especially the White NSX and the HPI Subbie! Do you have better pics of the wheels on the Evo by any chance?
|
cool collection, nice pics...foam mat works good for the pics/background...welcome aboard
|
nice collection, I like the lancer and the subaru
|
lol nice collection, love the cobra
|
You should change the HPI Subaru to Zebra Print, that would look neat-o.

I do tend to look after them,I like clean cars, and they usually only get used on my foam track with foam barriers, which keeps the damage down. I have a couple of older pics of the same wheels on my rsx. They are GPM wheels which fit mini-z tyres on to them.I aquired them second hand with another car.The great thing about them is they are actually round. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_5985.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_5975.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_5976.jpg I will get some more individual pictures up later. Thanks all. |
Same guy from MZR right(going by that HPI WRX)? Nice collection man. Also, its tIres not tyres (sorry, this annoys the hell outta me when I see it).
|
Nice collection.

|

Just more accurate really.Especially when mounted on the gpm shafts, aids smoother running. Thanks for all the nice comments. The white nsx seems to be popular so here are some pictures from when I first recieved it from ebay. It came with the wild body kit only, but luckily since then I have managed to find the mild and standard body parts for it. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6689.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6690.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6691.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6692.jpg Thanks. |
great looking car, love it.

Not planning on selling anything. I sold my first xmod collection last year to fund mini-z's,but it did not take long before I started regreting selling them. It's taken nearly a year to get the collection where it is now and I think I have learnt from my mistake and plan on keeping them all. It's funny when you see people running xmods down compared to mini-z's,they obviously just don't understand the difference. I have nearly as many running mini-z's as I do xmods and, yes, the mini-z can drive like a dream on the track, but the xmod is more fun just to fiddle with. The Evo 8 has a mini-z pcb in it with an xmod stage 2 motor and GPM shafts and knuckles with good quality bearings.Sometimes,on my small foam tile track,it seems a bit easier to get a consistent fast lap with it.I think it's because the steering is not as sensitive as the mni-z's,so seems easier to get into a smooth rythmn. Anyway, sorry for the prattling, got a bit carried away:roll: . Thanks again for the great coments. |
you have some of the cleanest xmods i have ever seen
|
lol thanks for clearin that up for me lol,
so if some one wanted to get into xmods or mini-z's that had a unlimited money suply what would to tell them? |

Great rides, loving the Integras. Real clean looking, nice and simple. Makes me wish my RSX was an Integra. |

Racing? get a mini-z. Customizing and modelling? xmod. I like radio controlled cars and 1/28th scale lets me do that at home. And I can have about 10 in the smae space it takes to keep a 1/10th car. I'm not much for customising the bodies but I do enjoy upgrading the xmods to improve they're handling etc. Quote:
This is my old integra that I sold about 18 months ago. I added extra led's to the front and rear and changes the green underglow to red.The front led's required a lot of trimming to make them fit without rubbing on the front wheels when steering. The chassis was a gen 1 with tight turns. Also blackened the lights a little. I regret selling this one. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_3124.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_3120.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_3133.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_3131.jpg Cheers. |
My word... That is amazing... How did you manage those smoked lights ? I would've bought that body from you hands down at $35. Just flawless... Any more pictures ?
|
wow! lol cab you make one of those 4 me??? $50 sound good?

Glad you liked it though and thanks. Here's some more pictures. At rest. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4718.jpg Throttle on. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4719.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_3116.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...100_3119-1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4722.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4789.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4834.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4838.jpg Next up is my old silver Integra. In the pictures it is mounted on a Gen1,but I used to race this shell on an evo chassis with a friend, hence the battle scars (this was after a clean up). http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4872.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4873.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_4881.jpg Cheers. |
Sorry to double post but got some new pictures I did today.
New look for the NSX. Fitted the body to an evo chassis instead of it's gen1 chassis it came with. The only chassis mods are bearings. The bearing I got for this one are of the open type and where cheap-ish,but are not as good a fit as the closed type I usually get.Even though they are very free running, there is still a lot of wobble. I managed to find standard and mild body kit on ebay. I think I prefer the narrower kits on the nsx. Also made a new front clip to lower the front to a more acceptable height, original is way too high. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6889.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6892.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6895.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6883.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6875.jpg Managed to pick up a couple of nib silver Supra body sets. I like the supra but this body is a bit of a wall climber unless it has the wild front on. This one is also on an evo chassis, with the xmod open bearings which are a lot better than the other type I have. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6897.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6899.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6900.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6905.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l/100_6908.jpg Cheers. |
