Nah, I've been out of xmods for a while.

I did a little checking myself and contacted the sale rep we used to deal with at the RS headquaters in Fort Worth TX. She got back with me after a few days and said No one had any Xmods in a warehouse (that she was aware of) and they had no plans on bringin them back...new or old.

If someone saw Xmods at a RS, you should have snatched em up! :eyecraz:

Just what I thought all along, this is a hoax...

Thanks for the clarification Jay! ;)

yamar6 07-18-2012 01:07 PM

I'm guessing they just weren't making enough profit, so they cut the strings. Maybe the Chinese company making them wanted to raise their prices, so RS said Screw it!

yamar6 07-18-2012 04:30 PM

because radioshack sold them the wrong way.If you broke a knuckle they would take the car back and give u a new one. They should sold parts that u could have bought from them.

Biggest bull**** ever!

This one (new generation of Iwaver combined with Gen1 Xmods and mixed up with miniZ awd parts) is much better than the X24 I think.
These are 1:27 or 1:28 like xmods and miniz.

Those crap X24 are 1:24 so a bit too big to mess up with the STANDARD

Bye!

RadioShack stopped selling Xmods mostly because interest in that kind of toy dropped. When RS started selling Xmods, it was around the time when people were the Fast and the Furious crazy so relatively cheap toy cars with parts you could hop up like with full scale cars appeals greatly to consumers at that point. In the past couple of years, fewer people had interest in car customization so RadioShack dropped Xmods due to a shift in consumer interest. I doubt that RadioShack will bring Xmods back in the future unless people get really into car customization again like the early 2000's or at least consumers and focus groups show an interest.
