Well it's getting closer and closer. Pipe showed up today from bring repaired and my local machine shop got my front top plate milled down for cage mounts. Talked with obr and they should have my twin finished tomorrow.

well got some work done on it today, now its just a stand still til i get a few more things, twin included, lol.
i did find out i need a couple of screws and and a piece or 2 more in order to mount the front and rear sway bars up.

got the links mounted to the arms, just need to get some longer screws to mount it to the rear.
http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/t...104_155501.jpg

need to get the lower piece of the sway bar mount for the front, have the top here
http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/t...104_155354.jpg

got the shocks updated. ddm HD springs, full force extended spring cups, scropion locking nuts.
http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/t...104_111907.jpg

brain farted when i did my last order and only got 1 set of ff cups, are they necessary on the front too for the twin? i did put hd springs and scorpion locking nuts on the front. will order if needed. Thanks for the input.

insane, lol. not sure the exact number, most common ive heard is 12-14hp. i know ive seen some sick videos of what this can do. I only wish that i had dunes closer. would be sweet to run this bad boy on some sand with paddles.

TheB1GDude 11-06-2012 10:58 PM

All the black plastic parts still on it... are they stock or something along the lines of upgrade RPM parts? Will they be able to take the beating that the twin will be throwing at them...

zippo855 11-09-2012 10:50 AM

Still stock. Waiting for them to be on ddms deal of the day again to upgrade to rpm. Otherwise they are around 25$ a corner. I want to get some hostile hubs and different heims and turnbuckles too. Make suspension and steering stronger and smoother.

zippo855 11-10-2012 12:50 AM

alright, so the current stage of this project is coming to a close, all i have left is to run the fuel lines and i can fire it up. :) Big thanks to O'Neill Brothers Racing for breathing life back into this engine and getting me the parts i needed to beef up the gearing and mounting pieces, Turtle Racing for being able to get OBr the front cradle mount, Dino at JetPro for fixing the pipe up, DDM (davesmotors) for their lightning quick shipping of all the parts i needed to beef up the suspension, drive train, conversion to 5t so i can mount the cage, and all the other misc parts, dscjester and silverss from hpibajaforum for answering many questions i had and giving me advice to get this bad boy together, and everyone else who has given advice and commented and posted on my build thread to keep this going.
I have a few other parts on their way to finish off the build. Only thing i'm going to have left to get is some better tires that will handle the power of this twin. I'm hoping these hold up until hostile gets his belted tires in production :).
well enough talk, here's some pics

Thanks man. She has come a long ways. Hopefully fire it up tomorrow.

Had a package show up early. Got the cage installed and fuel lines ran. Only have to buy an L Allen and grind it down to tighten the one exhaust bolt down. Then fire it up.

working til 5 and getting dark at 5:20- 5:30 sucks. as soon as the sun goes down its getting chilly made it hard to get this fired up and tested.

so today i was at the shop and not on the road so i decided to try and fire this up over the lunch hour. had to adjust my idle stop screw in a little to get it to fire and keep running. here's a video

Been toying with the idea of a body. Going to find out if anyone has anyone had heat issues running a body on the twin. Living in KS it can get pretty hot in the summer.
but it looks good with a body....

TheB1GDude 11-16-2012 01:48 PM

I rather like it with the body if it was fully fitted it would look pretty darn sweet!

BART 11-16-2012 11:27 PM

Wishing I could fit a twin in my F1, although it hasn't even been started in years. Amazing build man.
