Do remember that any entry into the Car of the Month must be a fully functioning XMOD.;)

My entry is fully functional. Forward, backward, left and right. Its 100% shelf queen though, the first imperfection in the driving surface would destroy it. The body is so close to the ground that any amount of suspension travel would dig it into the ground. Also in order to save space, the circuit board is mounted on the underside of the chassis. You'll see once I get around to doing the photo-shoot for the entry.

Yeah, Ive messed around and gotten my Xmods that low, but driving them like that is impossible... lol.

Anyway, is anyone else going to enter, or are we all saving it for the last possible moment?

KITT222 05-30-2009 05:02 PM

I'll enter mainly because there's only 2 entries...

As long as it is functional, then everything is good. I just wanted people to keep it in mind, that is all.

zippo855 05-30-2009 07:28 PM

don't forget to get them in before the deadline stated in the entry thread. any late entries will not count........

123Vette 05-30-2009 07:47 PM

i snuck it in the last second lol

imnotmikal 05-30-2009 10:48 PM

Holy crap.
I completely forgot.
I still have until tomorrow night to finish, but that won't happen.
I'll throw mine in for ****s and giggles.
It's fully functional. The body is painted, the hood is not.
This will be funny...
I'll get it in tomorrow.

@123Vette:
When I saw yours, I thought it looked great, but then I saw the front clip sticking out.... Kinda kills it.

Unless someone else slips in at the last minute with some outrageous entry, I am pretty sure I can say Alvin has this one in the bag.

123Vette 05-30-2009 10:52 PM

yeah i kno.... i just havent had a chance and i ran out time....

I think my entry will be able to knock Alvin down, hopefully. As long as someone else doesnt come along and stick another last minute entry in.

It was actually an idea I had for a different project that ended up getting scrapped. The board was going to be in the engine compartment at first, but then I realized that it pushed the front end up too high and I wanted to have a motor in it, and I also wanted an interior, so the only other place I could think of was under the car. The motor cradle is on backwards so that the motor itself doesn't interfere with the back of the interior. I basically designed the chassis around the interior.

well it worked, this might be the first car ive seen that the chassis was designed around the interior, normally its the other way around

Haha, I know! I was kinda upset when I had to cut out the back seat to add the battery tray...
