Hasn't happened, and a 40k motor could blow the fets.

Picked up a Stage 11 or (180) motor.
It is kind of long and installs with some muscle, but otherwise full of torque.
One site sells it for $7.00 but bare of parts.
Another site puts it all together and sells it for $32.

You need to be slapped. As far as anyone knows, THERE IS NO STAGE 3 UPGRADE PLANNED!!The Stage 11 doesn't fit in the RSX, BTW.

No Really, the stage 11 motor does fit the RSX
You just have to modify the plastic body on the radio...
It runs REALLY FAST!!!

Both in 2WD and 4WD

Well, you also have to cut into the servo for it to sit correctly, which is not so great.

My current project is using the shortest settings for the wheel base and 4WD. I burned a radio somehow, so I have to get a new car for the electrics.
I am working a few different configurations which is not like this pic now.

You realize you can order all-new electronics from RS. Order a receiver board assembly from RS, and you'll get what's needed. What body is going on it anyway? BTW, I also have the ZERO chassis from Tiny RC, and I love it. How's yours?

(Chassis #1):
Well, I did get it running tonight.
Funny thing, I have Alum rims, Lith ion, TinyRC shielded bearings, Zero Chassis/shaft.
The rest is stock.
I decided to put the middle carbon shaft on it since it is 4WD.
Then I put it on the RSX black body with stock design.
The motor is the 11-pinion Stage 2 RS (purple) motor.

It pulls off the line at full speed/torque. VERY IMPRESSIVE coming from regular rechargeable batteries.

OK, the electronic brake does not really stop the vehicle. It pulls so hard that the aluminum wheels do not want to stop turning.
I really want to try the shorter shaft in this configuration.

(Chassis #2):
In 2WD, with the 180 motor in it sucks, bc there is VERY little traction. I guess in FWD it would do good, bc, driving backward is cool, after reversing the receiver turning.
That body is radically trimmed Black RSX

(Chassis #3):
Then there is the (stage 11) or 180 motor, that I put on the Corvette model (4WD). It runs right off the line like a ROCKET!!!
(for me, I am impressed and waiting for a faster motor that is on order).

The 180 motor is faster than the stock 11 tooth 30,000 motor, but has almost NO electronic feedback noise.

For me, the alum rims and shielded bearings made all the difference.

For all three, the hard slicks seem the best. I hear sanding them will make it better.

All three carbon chassis are running Lith ion and there is a HUGE difference in speed/torque take off reaction. The vehicle just gets up to speed faster.

The stock stage 2 purple did not give me electronic feedback as it normally does.

I was trying to wait to get another micro RC kit, but went for the RS version, since you can get a whole kit for a small price compare.

As for a charger, I brought one from the same guy as the Lith ION batteries, although it needed a 12 volt charger. I picked one up from RS and cut the tip off to put the RS style adapter on it...

That's an aftermarket motor made by NML I believe.

There is one site that markets the bare motor for $6.00
But I brought the one for $31.00 that had the ceramic capacitors and gear installed.
Then my hard head would not give up until it fit on the RSX.
It looks great on it, but is VERY TIGHT...I do not recommend it for a beginner and the torque redefined the way I mounted my tires and springs.
I was able to get a straight run out of the RSX with 2WD then processed the same information onto my 4WD Corvette and it handles one a whole new scale like never before.

You rock with the photos dude. You do it professionally I gather. Maybe one day I should race you and try to goad you into taking pics of mine.

I did order from performancexmods but the order has not arrived.

Tks for your comment,
As for pics, if you can meet in NYC one Monday, I sure can shoot your car with a quick shot.
Believe it or not, it does not take too much to do it right.
Photography is a passion of mine and I freelance.

Just set it up and we can work something out...
:P
