same ride height it's had since I got this one running last summer.

same all-season tires I've had for about 3 years (had snow tires on gray steelies on it all winter).

I haven't posted pics since the roof rack, but I've had that for many years on various cars, and it's about a 3 minute job to put it on.....hardly any 'work'

The new part is the front air dam.

got this in the mail today (BIG box) from CA:
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/Numbchux/PICT2893.jpg
Full Subaru RX body kit

Test Fitting:
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/Numbchux/PICT2896.jpg

I hadn't intended to put it on until I had the $$ to repaint the whole car, but I stumbled across some paint while at home depot today that was incredibly similar to my car's current color. hopefully I'll get the rest of the kit on in the next week or so.

it's asking to be ripped apart. obviously a home-made kit. very poorly designed, and still on stock wheels/tires, so really gained absolutely nothing by it. poor wagon, what a waste.

I've had 2 lifted '88 wagons. one 4" lifted with 27.5" tires:
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/medium/3242PICT0668.JPG

and the other 3" lifted with 29s.

I've also got a couple buddies with offroad subies....

Looks like the rear axle is getting ahead of the frame! Haha!

Nice kit numbchux. its clean and emphasizes on the original body design! That's how body kits should be, not changing the design, but making it stand out more!

I dont no y u guys ended up with subi wagons but i do got to admit that kit makes it look pretty cool, i needs a new hood not nessisaryilly for the body kit but to get rid of that rust

Numbchux

no...they're not any better. and far more rare. no way could I have found a brat in decent condition for as little as I paid for both wagons.

for reference, here's another wagon with the same body kit on it (don't like the color....but you get the idea)

well, there are no aftermarket hoods available for it....and I like the stock, sleeper look. besides, I just finished fixing those rust spots.

im a fan of the old subies and you got yourself two good looking wagons. and that pic of the metalic blue one now that is sexy you should do something like that if you dont like to color okay but clean and slick just like that. it looks nice and clean not riced out

the Phase I EJ22 is, hands down, the most reliable motor subaru has ever made.

throw a few pounds of belt-driven boost at it...and it should power this 2500 lb grocery getter around the cones extremely well.

body has 180k miles, tranny had 160k in it's original car, but was swapped into one other car before this one. probably well over 200k by now. the motor had 230k before the swap. now looking at about 250k.

the blue wagon was ugly. I hated that color. looked better with the 2-tone I did on it....but still ugly:
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/Numbchux/PICT1775.jpg

btw, fixed and painted the rust spots on the hood, aswell as both front fenders. this paint leaves a bit of a texture, so I'll need to do some sanding and get a clear coat on there for it to look right....but it looks pretty good:

don't have any pics, they're sitting in my shed, and are quite dirty. not much to look at

buuuut....here's another old-school subaru with a 5-lug swap and the same wheels:
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/medium/82Picture_116.jpg

they're stock 16" alloys from a WRX.

and I'm not completely broke, but I'm looking at about $1k worth of parts before I can start the swap :eyecraz: :eyecraz:
