xmod range is bad

my xmod doesn t have good range and only goese 5 feet?!

check your antenas,the one in the transmitter might not have been screwed into the transmitter well,the transmitter or reciever might be bad,or the reciever antena might be cut,bad,or not extended properly,or i might be telling you the totally non-x-mod related things sinced i'm new to x-mods,not rc.
