hey guys new around here. Xmod scence is only startin to pick up but then again aint been in any model shops yet ,may take a look tomorrow if i have time :D

anyway reason im here is as with all noobi's there will be questions, please be patient with me ive searched and searched but there is quite a lot to take in in only one days surfing the net and i cant find all the answers i want :roll_eye:

anyway the car i got was a yellow skyine and when i got it i also got the bodykit too think it looks awesome but, as much as i love the skyline, if there was a DC2 integra type R body i would of def got this as thats my real life toy :D

mods im looking to get almost when i can are these so can someone please please answer my questions too

firstly, i think ive read i can ditch the stupid rubber nuts for 2mm metal nuts is this true??

secondly, im after the AWD conversion but no question here :D

thirdly, im after the bearing set, are the normal std xmod upgrade a open type bearing as ive read sealed ones are far better then the open ones also how many bearing does a fully ball raced xmod use, ive seen kits of 14 but does it really have room for that many??

fourth, ill be getting the stage two motor upgrade for now but are there better or faster rotating motors??

fifth, the most important thing is im wanting to do the li-ion conversion to two 3.6V batteries, ive read this to be one of the best xmod conversions and i know i can buy fully built kits off ebay but i think half the fun is building stuff yourself, so i wanna know everything i will need for the conversion, ive got soldering iron but i want a complete list so i can go into my local model shop and ge the stuff and wont look like a idiot not knowing wat i need

lastly it will be good if someone on hear can supply the parts i need at a reasanble price ship'd to the Uk as im sure these bits i want will cost a few pennies over here

also are there any detailed guides for any of the questions ive asked, i really cant find em :roll_eye:

thanks for reading and if you've replied than even better :D

Metal bearings are in order.
Metal nuts are too.
In fact, in time, put the new aluminum parts on with the carbon stuff too...
The stage 2 red is the best in that ball park. there is a stage 11 for the stock electrics, but faster ones for upgraded electrics. AWD is great but a bit slower than 2wd.
Lith ion or whatever battery upgrades you choose should be better than buying regular batteries.

After you get your car, dip the motor in WD-40 oil or a sewing machine oil.
Then run it for about ten minutes.
Put some refined Linseed oil on all the bearings.
Yes there are 14, preferably (4) of them wide for the wheels.
The 4WD kit makes the axle stick out further than the 2WD kit. Use a washer to keep the wheels true and not wobbly.
