market place suggestion

I've seem that when forums grow,the buy/sell section is very confused,why don't separate the "sell/trade" section from the "want to buy".
It helps on an Italian forum of over 10 thousand people

I agree like a "i'm looking for this" I think this is a good idea.

it does work well, but is only necessary when you get more than a page of new posts a day.

IMHO, too many sections is far worse than not enough. it makes the site cluttered and confusing (I dare you to try to find something on www.nasioc.com ). The only time they become needed is when uncommon things are getting lost in a section dominated by one topic. or when multiple topics create such a fast moving section that many pages of new posts come up every day, and frequently most of the readers aren't interested in.


The UltimateSubaru boards just did the Sell/WTB section split...and I hate it. mostly because people tend to skip over the WTB section. and it makes it very hard to get ahold of parts when you need them.

od course I said that italian forum has more than 10k users,and of course the market place is very dinamic and changes a lot.
