i have an idea 2 keep the noobs on this site outta trouble and i wanna get u guys thoughts on it. ok, lets say we just gotta noob on the site and hes still registerin, how bout when hes done registerin a mod pms him the rules so he wont be double postin and makin pointless threads. u guys think its a good idea? (sorry if this is already been done)

it doesn't matter they won't read em anyway. It's a good idea with good intentions but it just won't work because new members won't pay any attention to the pm.

the other problem is the number of new people registering here. it's a pretty large number, AND many of them don't post anyway....

i agre with chux. it's easier to just remind them of the rules in a thread than to pm them. They probably won't even check their pms

Too many people to PM a day. It would probaly work with a smaller site.

some won't even know that they are getting pms for a couple weeks.
