My Local Mustang Shop...GT500

my local mustang shop has alotta mustangs there, and the owner of the shop has a red V6 mustang, a black GT (i think he sold it), and a brand new 2007 Shelby GT500....Grabber Orange with white stripes. he likes 2 work on mustang alot....ill let the pics speak 4 themselves....

Love the car but I have a couple of concerns. Not with the car. The fellow in the blue shirt is working on a brand new car wearing a belt and what looks to be a cell phone attached to his pocket. Both the belt and the clip on the cell phone can do some nasty damage to the paint.

yea....i hope he knows that, i would hate 2 see a car like that get scratched from somethin like a cell phone clip or the things on a belt

I like dealership packages like this, but I dont like how much of an inbreed family the mustang is, :lol:

But as well, for the dealership markup these are getting, if you want performance you can get a Z06 for the same price, and go a helluva lot faster.

You're only saying this becuase of two reasons:
1.) That's a Ford,
2.) Your a chevy guy,

But seriously, a Corvete is just as much and has a better engine, and same price? Corvets looks sleek and powerful, not a (bad) attempt at a Retro-Muscle car...

At the end of the day, it's still a mustang, and a ford, is still a ford.

haha Texan doesnt lie, the z06 stomps all over the viper the GT the gt500 and even some lambos for a lot less money

Theres never been a Viper GT, but a base C6 can keep pace with an SRT10, and the Z06 walk over it. And its driver friendly, the Viper, is horrid. Ive sat in the both at the spring hotrod run, viper has pooooor visibility, but man that vette sits you nice though.

The vette retro? Not really, allways has evolved its design over the years.

Ahh, your right. Its on the Ford GT's heels, but not totally a GT killa.

Then again, you take lengfiller (or how ever the hell you spell that) or wait for the SS Vette (600-700hp they say, supercharged air-to-liquid intercooled base c6 motor. The LS7's thin cylinder spacing isnt forced induction friendly)

Id have to go look it up, I cant remember the #'s right now. But the GT is makin 550 hp, and the Z06 is 501hp (known to have a few oddball engine making 550hp though, oh the joys of hand built motors :p )

I don't want a arugment, but the Lingenfelters are european right? German, or what northern european nation?

The Veyron does 0-100 in under 4.0 seconds.... But still has that top end... and 1000ft/lb of torque... While my dear Koenigsegg is only like 3mph slower than the veyron, and 900HP+....

Overall, I want a track car. Straight line is great, but has no use when you're running from the cops in SoFla... Or the wavy roads of Europe for that....

hey 2day they had the editors of ModifiedMustang magazine there, and i saw 2 more GT500s. 1 was a black converable and the other was a vista blue coupe with white stripes, sorry i dont have pics, i was on my way 2 work when i saw this. but there was a lot of mustangs there, V6s, GTs (mostly), and just 3 GT500s......:D

The Swiss do many things well. Harbouring ill-gotten gold, for example. And triangular chocolate.

Lingenfelter is American, its the company of the late John Lingenfelter, the company buys GM incomplete vins and completely goes over the whole car and upgrades every thing. They also do custom builds for people and tuning. Its Like Carroll Shelby or Saleen upgrading the Mustangs.

Im sure when he scratches a car, it will be the customer saying that. Tulsa isnt that far, maybe 4-5 hours if I set the cruise control at 80 the whole way. You can get to dallas that way in about 3 hours. :lol:
