My stage 2 engine is SLOW!!!

I just bought the stage 2 motor upgrade from RS and its slow. I have the 65' mustang with the stage 2 engine and a supra that is completely stock and the supra is faster. Do you think that I installed it wrong, I was expecting it to be faster than it was, but now it is barely keeping up. Any suggestions?

I'm using the blue one right now, the drag one, but still it is really slow, even outside on asphalt where it has long straitaways.

Yeah maybe the speed isnt that different between the 2 motors.

the blue motor is ment for top speed.........the red motor is drag!!!

like some people said jst buy both and test'em out, if one is better use that one and return the other or keep it.

I have all four motors. Drag, Drift, Road, and Drag. Right now, I have the Blue top speed motor in it, but its really slow. I guess I'll swap the red into it.

my brother and i had the same problem, both w/ s2 top speed.

hey um yeah my car is slow on asphalt but fast on none glossy tile

check your wires to make sure you are getting a good connection on the motor and or batteries :nod:

you need to recharge or get new batteries i had the same problem then i did that and it flew

Yeah wut batteries are you using and did you put in the gear that matches the color of your motor?

Make sure your motor is not binding. Sometimes when you re-install a motor it can sit in the wrong angle and bind the gears.
Make sure you did not pick up carpet hairs.
Try each wheel to see if it spins freely.
Take the motor out and push the car to see if it runs free across the pavement.
