Well, after realizing that the white 26K motor is the fastest off the block and really having no distance to run, I brought a total of (9) XMODS to try different settings...
What I found out is, no matter how I set it up, even with bearings, it was still not impressively fast.
I did not want to get into high speed exotics until I learned how to tweak stock...
So, last night I tried one last thing and the car literally flew up in the air and took off as Never before...
How simple was it you asked...
Well, for one, I already put bearings on all the possible spots.
Did not yet glue the tire to the wheels.
Cut out plastic circles to use as washers behind the wheels for stability.
Tried every possible combo of motor 1 and 2 kit/color.
trimmed every part that was rubbing...
Took apart the rear Differential and stuffed it with medium hard grease for positive traction.
ANYHOW, the last thing I tried was pretty simple indeed.
I bathed EVERY joint, even the motor in WD40.
I have a few more tweaks up my sleeve.
After this I will go into getting some aluminum parts from a guy who makes them in TX.
My wife took a small video of the car on a wet tile surface.

The video link is on the top of this page link.

I would suggest putting in a 6 cell because its cheap and easy to do. It will also increase your speed allot... probably about 5-6 miles faster. Maybe even more, and its defenitely worth it.

WD-40 is an oil used by many men and women in the business of fixing things.

Fresh batteries are about 1.6volts
At 1.4 volts, the car gets a bit sloppy.

Dont stick your hand in the socket, but try fresh batteries and look at the speed ...

dude, this thread is really old! anyways, i would think it were safe to dip the whole motor (not the wires) in the wd 40 and just dry it. i;ve never tried it so i may be wrong
