I just took apart the Evo motor, and one magnet is blue, the other is green on one side.

How do I test to see were my unmarked neo's go, on which side?

Not sure how to test them but if you get it wrong the motor will just spin backwards and you could just switch the wires.

But doesn't that affect timing? Does it have more torque when going in Reverse (the motor, not the ESC)?

I know on higher grade models brush timing is critical...i even have a few motors in the garage that have adjustable timing but I doubt that it makes much difference on the xmod motors...although i'm not sure. I guess if you do it wrong and it runs backwards with the wires hooked up correctly then you would have to take it back apart and flop the magnets. Sounds like a great excuse for someone to try it out on the tamiya speed checker or something.

I wish I had a speed checker, but I don't. Allright. Thanks for the info. And uh, zx9rbart, check your PM's.

yes affects the speed in higher ends. its better if u take them out and reverse the mags.

I didn't say it didn't. If you read carefully I said it affects the high ends.
