in 2009, chevy is rumored to release a 650hp Corvette

They say it'll do 0-100 in 3.5 seconds! not 0-60, 0 to 100 effin MPH in 3 and a half seconds!
I'm starting to save up now!
EDIT: its not effin mph...its just plain old kmh *sigh*

Wait theres more! GM is seriously looking at Right Hand Drive Vettes to sell in other countries because of the succes they've had in their current markets. Corvettes are making there way down to Austrailia soon, i've heard.

it's got to be 100 kph (62 mph). 100 mph is a decent 14 second 1/4 mile trap speed. 0-100 in 3.5 would be tough for a 1500 hp dragster.

Yup, very slow, it broke last month. Corvette SS, uses the base Vette motor, with a centrifugal supercharger, air to liquid intercooler, and some more goodies to get it 600+hp

hold on a second, 0-60 in 3.5 isnt tough at all, a hand full of cars can do that, all under 1000hp

um...yea. that's my point. 0-60 is easily possible with 650 hp. 0-100 is not

i kmow i get it, a litttle typo on my part. i totally agree with you guys. I was just overly excited to see a new version of the Vette comin up so soon.
The thing thats cool about it is that it would one of the only cars below 125,000 that have 650 horsepower

Veyron only has 1000ft/lb of torque and 1000hp, and it does 0-100mph in less...

0-100kph is the same as 0-60mph..
