i want the same size because im running the wire through some aluminum tubing. i have 16 g on it now and the 3 wire set coming from the servo board is to big. 18 would be way too big.

the wire in the pic is the smallest RS carries. and its still at least 3 times bigger than the stock. im going to run a 3rd aluminum rod inbetween the 2 existing 1s starting from the square piece you see in the pic. i want to run all 5 wires down this tube.

OK back to business, cut up an old mouse cable or usb cable (or any other shielded computer cable) and take out the number of wires you need. Your powering a servo and not a drive motor so your not going to lose anything performance wise.

BART to the rescue again... i was thinking the same thing... cuz me and my dad recently did some phone wiring and the internal wires were very similar to the servo ones...

phone wiring is great also as long as you use the stranded and NOT solid wire. Solid wire breaks after a few bends and does not reject noise very well.:bigwink:

well i was just saying as for thickness...

I was agreeing with you, most phone wire would work awesome. (just some of the older stuff i have is solid core)

hey bart would would it matter if you used a thicker wire similar in size to the wire coming from the batteries when the car is stock... for powering the servo because i kinda broke mine...
