cool thanks. is this something that i would really want to do? i want to put in lancer with 6 cell mod. i dont know if it would fit? will this drain battery?

I don't know if it would fit but it would obviously drain the batteries faster then not having it in the car.:)

AM is ripping you off, go to your local hobby store and look all over, or ask a sales associate, i found one at my local hobby shop for 10 dollars, now all i need to do is build a heat sink and mount everything up.

you want a fan that is 30 mm by 30 mm, or approximately 1" by 1", it's small but will move enough air to keep things cool

It would be something nice to have to be on the safe side, however it would add too much extra weight (and you dont need that going with 6 cells). I would just limit my runs and let my car cool down on it's own:)

1" by 1" wow, thats pretty small. but you think will move air? i just dont know if i want to cut a hole to put the fan in.

One it is most deffinitly going to move air around and cool the car down alot. the hole in the car doesn't have to be big in fact you could probably do a few small holes and have the same affect as one big hole.

do you think if i cut a hole in the lancer hood, would that be a good place to have one? or how about the grill, just completely remove the grill

j_meneskie
02-26-2007, 01:27 AM
yes you can buy the online if you scroll up alittle bit you will see 2 links for 2 different websites that sell them.:) :) :)

I don't know if that would work but if you were going to do that cut them in the spoiler area then they would be hard for others to notice them.:)

i mean i was going to mount above motor, do you think enough air will go through car to move air if i cut out grill? or would i just mount fan in the grill area?

First off sorry for double posting... And i would think that the fan in the fronnt of the car facing the rear would do the most good because that is where most of the heat comes from.

ZX9RBART: (its cool, i fixed the double post)

yeah good point. i was thinking of making a functional hood scoop and mount the fan in it like a top mount intercooler or something but i dont think that would even help... i dont know how well a hood scoop would work since im not going very fast you know what i mean?

unless it is exhausting hot(used air) it is a waste of time, money and voltage. Not to mention its another motor under the body creating heat.

MY $0.02

actually its a waste of mah not voltage, but I',m sure yeah get what i mean.
