I don't claim to know why the B/S/T forum has the 50 post requirement to post in it, but I'm guessing it is largely so that noobs don't just come right in and spam with their ads without contributing to the forums at all. This is understandable and a great idea, but my suggestion is...

Allow new members to post wanted ads at a lower post count (10?). I can't imagine too many people go around spamming forums with wanted ads (I could be wrong). Anyway, this mainly comes to mind because I would like to post a wanted thread, but can't do it. I can see many reasons for not allowing people to post in there until they are more established, but would guess that often people are in my situation and just want to put up a wanted thread to get some parts etc...

Anyway...just my 2 cents.

i think 50 is a reasonable number and you are less than 20 posts away from being able to be in the B/S/T section so why are you worried about this rule, soon it wont pertain to you?

By 50 posts you pretty much know how the site works and what rules to follow so that's one less section the mods have to constantly watch over. This forum is fairly active so it's not hard at all to get 50 or more respectable posts.

Your all right, your almost to 50 bud. You can get your post count up quick here without spamming. Pretty active forum.

I understand it isn't going to apply to me, but being a mod on other forums, I know that frequently people will spam away due to post requirements. But since I know how annoying that is I'm making a conscious effort to only post in threads that are interesting to me, but I'm definitely posting more than I would have if I didn't want to put up a wanted thread...so I guess it's a win/lose situation...you can get spammers or more good posts...

Like I said, just my thoughts...

*edit* just a note that I hadn't seen BlackSky's post before mine went through...not that it matters much.

I didn't mean that to come across as it meaning that your post, didn't matter much just that the fact that my post came without me knowing what yours said didn't really end up mattering much.

I knew you were an admin or a high up of some sort. MC4L had all ready informed me when I was asking him a bunch of questions earlier.

we watch pretty close for spamming. if it happens, the posts get deleted, and their post count goes down. and if it changes their ability to use the B/S/T section, then they'll be looking at a temporary ban on top of the warning for spamming....
