okay, take a piece of plywood(me and my friend started with a 4x4)and spraypaint all the edges with a paint of you're choice. Now take low compile carpet(the kind you see in you're classroom or radioshack)and measure and cut to be the size of the plywood. Take Elmar's wood glue and apply to all parts of the board(esspecially the sides)now quickly lay the carpet on the board and smooth out lumps. Now take a staple gun and staple all the edges down onto the board. Now take 1/2 in. scale rubber tubing and staple them on the sides and course of the track to make a soft siding like the foam RS uses.

HOPE THIS SAVES YOU MONEY!!!!   :)

i dont like PVC pipe because its hard, and if you crash into it by accident, it can really crap up you're car, not to mention give i scratches, i would have likes to get rubber, but i had some of this laying around, and wat i didnt have he had. but with the rubber tubing it gives youre car a sort of cussion. and theres no suck thing as foam PVC pipe, you're thinking about the ruber PVC pipe im talking about.

I think the foam PVC pipe he's talking about is the foam tubing insulation, it's good stuff. My friend owns a track in a nearby town and he uses it alongside all of the walls, great stuff. You can get it anywhere pretty much, even Wal-Mart.

Hmm, that piled carpet is a good idea. I've been using my tile floor downstairs but I have to completely gut the car to clean it each time. I think I'll get some cash to make a nice collapsible track that will fit in the spare room downstairs. It would probably have to be figure 8 shaped, but I might be ablie to get a heart shaped corner for one end. Maybe some chicanes...I need to get back into this when I get another car this christmas.

he could also be talking about the foam stuff the kinda has a hole in it. I use this, and alot of other poeple use it, for lining the roll cage in a race car, it adds a bit of cushion if you were to hit it if you crashed or anything else, but ya, it is nice and soft and you can bend it for turns. also it does come in a lot of colours

Ever thought to use noodles. The kind you get from Wal-Mart or even a Dollar Store, Used for pools. They are strong enough to hold a bump or two and wont wreck your car. They also bend very well :)

When I start racing I'll conjour something up, I have been known to craft some pretty good homebrew stuff.

get a long cardboard box then put a circle piece of cardboard then tape it and theres you track but i would make ramps and put some cusion on the side so if you mod will hit it it wont brake your mods
