I'm lookin into getting a Li-ion kit and its come to my attention that ill need to stack the FET's to run the added power. How do I do this? Is it easy? :-?

nope go ahead and get the li-ion...the only reason you would need FETS is if you're runnin' a hotter motor

Yeah, there's no need for fets, unless you get a motor that requires it.

oh and one more thing...don't exceed 8.4 volts without a FET upgrade

WRONG! Fets have zero to do with voltage to the board. Fets allow you to have motors that draw more current, which is measured in amps. In order to go over 8.4 volts, you need a regulator.

Hey when you buy a lithium kit that is like easy to put in.. well perhaps you have no skilss with sodering or any of that stuff. Can you just hook up to the stock wires. But then whe i look at the kits it only shows the batteries with the dean wires but what about the dean wires to the circuit board?

fets can be installed by many people. Now for all you **** heads: YOU DON'T NEED FETs FOR LITHS!!! THEY ADD WIEGHT. YOU NEED FETs FOR HIGH CURRENT MOTORS!!! UNLESS YOU ARE PLANNING ON DOING 35+ MPH, YOU DON'T NEED FETs, THEY DON'T ADD TORGUE OR ANYTHING UNLESS YOU NEED THEM FOR A MOTOR!

do you need fets if your gonna keep a 4 cell setup but using a tuned motor like the big V12 i saw on ebay

also, its a HUGE misconception. You DONT need to stack FET's, and it's annoying when you have to cut the chassi to support something that you dont need.

I havent found a 130 size engine that can even support more than 8 volt.

the thing is... you just dont need to stack your fets. Just use one new one.

ok this is only me second post but with all the Li-Ion mods i have seen you are installing 2 AAA Li-Ion verses having 4 AAA batteries.Li-Ion are also lighter than regular batteries......now lets think here......2 vs. 4.......and Li-ion being lighter in weight....can u understand this SwedishRacer??might be tough..but just try real hard....

not to threadjack, but exactly what is involved when you upgrade/install fets, how hard is it, what tools are required

i have no soldering experience at all and i suck with electronics lol
