Hey gang.... quick question for the pros or ne one for that matter
my 67 camaro turns on the wheels steer but it wont go front or back... so i went to work and opend a new xmod n switched the eps even though i missed like 45 min on the sales floor it still does the same thing.... i herd these xmods can handle 8.4v so i dont think i freid it with my 6cell nihd setup 1.2v each cell.... please help me!!!!

or you can just have cheap mods or you controllers screwed...

no i tried using the controller for my skyline and it does the same thing... the wheels steer but motor does not spin.... i checked with a voltometer and ders no voltage going in to the motor... this is the second ep that did not wurk..... thanx fer the input fellas im glad i found dis forum

how many volts can the stock fets handle????? i only have a 6 cell and thats 1.2v each..... lol i dont think i have the skills to solder that small but imma try i suppose ... if not ill jus buy new one switch eps and return lmao

radio shack motors right, then its not your fets unless it custom wound...

its radioshack stage two{yellow} not custom wound.... i looked at the fets no sighn of damage is ther usually a way to tell? well i dunno maybe 7.2volts is too much :evil:

no, you can have up to about 8.4 volts!

Dunno why, but it sounds like your fets fried closed. I've never had a 6 cell fry (I had one that caught on fire in class, but otherwise, nothing.) How did you test the voltage? Did you unplug the motor, then plug in your voltmeter and test, or did you put the testing prongs up against the brushes of the motor?

thanks for telling me that the max is 8.4 volts... i wish i knew that sooner... lol my 9-volt must have fried my cpu...<if i miss use terms ignore it lol im not a genious here>... i figured that much once i checked everything... so... what am i gonna have to replace...<im gonna start using a rechargable 9 and check it with volto and get it to like 8 even er so...>

viperdout i checked the voltage by removing the motor also on the circut board itself....ARGH!!!!! im so ****ed!!!!!!!!!! :evil:

sounds like you gotta short in your batterys wiring.or your motor wires to the esc or the actual wires on the motor.

You sohlud've tested at the connector. Solder it back and see what happens.

bedroom its DEFINATLY not a short at the batteries because the steering still works fine.... viperdout i did chec at the conector as welll.... thanx for the help guys but i jus bout a new one swaped the eps and will return it tommaro :lol:
