got here today!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/Numbchux/PICT2293resized.jpg

an '87 SR5 turbo with an Automatic. VERY solid frame (hard to find here in the midwest), and a slight knock (probably a #4 rod bearing...). but only 24,000 miles on a brand new head and turbo. $1600.

it'll be a bit of a project, but it's already got add-a-leafs, and front torsion bars cranked up, so I think some fender trimming, a 2-tone paint job, and some 33s should do nicely for next year. maybe a rear locker aswell....

then, SAS and 35s.

I should have known by the like of some beastly wheels on there. As far as rock crawling goes, i wouldn't know, most of where i live is forest and swamp but still like an average town. No rocks, just mud.

those wheels/tires are stock. next summer, it'll probably get a 2" suspension lift, 2 or 3" body lift, lots of fender trimming, and 35" Kumho Mud-terrains. probably a rear locker aswell....

the rig has 167,xxx miles on it. I bought it from it's owners brother in law, who says that the owners boyfriend drained the engine, and then filled the tranny....or vice versa. anyway, the motor had the wrong fluid in it for a few hundred miles, at which point it developed the knock.

the tranny is in awesome shape!

the motor is a 22R-TE

and yes, of course 4WD....not doing much crawline with 2WD. not to mention the fact that the 2WD ones sit about 6" lower than this...

and yes, it's got a roll bar loop behind the back seats, and a fiberglass, removable topper over the whole rear end. here's what one looks like with the topper off:

man thats a killer rig.
even with 150,000+miles, the toy 4wd's cant be killed.
my wifes truck is a 98 landcruiser with 172k on the clock and other then the tires and wheel bearings its just as strong as the day it rolled off the line.
ive onlt been stuck once with it and it was in 32 inches of hard packed snow.

quick question, do you mean those wheels are stock size?
im pretty sure those are AR wheels.

yep, stock sized...they're definately not factory. but I highly doubt they're AR. They don't have a brand on them anywhere that I've found yet (though I haven't had them off the truck yet). and most AR wheels I've ever seen are very clear about who made them...

and actually, I think they're wider than stock....

some fog lights on the front bumper would be a nice addition

it'll probably get a pair of lights and put them in the loop in front of the grill...

and some for the roof basket, along with the spare tire and hi-lift jack

I took a couple pics of my crazy digital dash setup today, and finally got around to uploading them:
