Custom XMOD Competition [Archive]

Starting November 1st will be an XMOD competition to show off your custom Xmods. Any models and styles will be accepted.
Here are the rules:
-The entry must be a car currently being worked on or one started during the competition
-Must provide before and after pics of the car (if u are currently working on it, just take pics of your current progress)
-Entries must be received between November 1st and January 1st
-Anyone who talks crap about anybodies entry will be disqualified

Thats it for now. If I missed anything, tell me and I will edit.

*ALSO* I am trying to find judges that are fair or that are known on the forum. Moderators would be great but anyone that wants to be a judge just post why. IF YOU ARE A JUDGE, YOU CANNOT ENTER A CAR.

This is mainly just something fun to get this site back up on its feet. If people involved felt like chipping in to get the winner something, thats fine.

the thread clearly ststes that u don't need to already have a custom mod, this is a chance to make one for the competition.

Do u have any pics before u did the majority of the modding? the comp won't start until Nov 1st.IT will prob be here though. If u were really gonna make some major appearance changes, it would be fine. but that car looked done

why does there have to be judges? just make it a public poll. then everyone can vote (yes....even the competitors), and can only vote once. That's how competitions that I've been a part of have always worked.

how about entering more than one car.

is this a looks based, or performance based competition? (should probably put it in either appearance or modification forum)

Ok. Firebird and I talked. I'll make the rules for this Comp.

Rules

1) You can only enter 1 Car/truck For this Comp.
2) Please add the upgrades , and mods that have been done to the car/truck.
3) Entries must be received between November 1st -- November 14th
4) Anyone who talks crap about anybodies entry will be disqualified
5) The limit of pictures you may have in a post is 3
6) DON'Tmake more then one post with pictures of your ride.
7) This Comp. is open for chasis and bodys.
8) NO SPAM , FLAME, ect.. That will get you disqualifed.
9) Must have over 25 posts to enter.

Oh yeah. I forgot that this was going to be a public poll. My bad.

Your car doesn't have to work. It can just be a body or a chasis. What ever you want.

I think that you should let people put in cars that are already finished....cause Im not gettin my TC and Supra until January and I think a lot of poeple will wait till xmas :santa: b4 renewing their collection as well . Plus why does it matter ? Its a competition to see who has the more tricked out car!!! So whoever has the best car, recent or not, wins ! :headbang:
Also, two pics max would be better......(can anyone also pm or tell me how we put pics on threads w/o puttin links or attached files? txs :p)

I think that you should limit the number of entries......and assign each car (each person) an entrie number. Cause how the hell are you gona make a poll describng the car to vote for (the green supra with a red spoiler, green neon...etc)? Just give ever1 a number and make the poll "vote for your favorite numbered car". This way, for example, outa 250 entries, I can vote for entrie 54 or somthing.........:geek:

well then just limit the number of older cars
pick out (out of the ones people will show you) some of your favorite "older" :p cars and put some of those on there....

Then put behind the URL.
Make sure there cap.s

definately more than one or 2 pics, but put a limit on it, like 5

as far as the dates are concerned....let me try to rephrase it....

it sounds like you guys are saying that you must enter what you PLAN to do between November 1st and 14th. then post finished pics of the project by January 1st. at which point, the voting will begin. right?

if you don't 'register' your entry between november 1st and 14th, then you can't enter. but you don't have to have it done by the 14th....

if that's not it, and you have to have the whole project done by the 14th....then you're pretty much limiting it to already completed projects. if you're leaving 2 months for the whole thing, it should be limited to projects started between now and then.

if you make an official entry thread ill sticky it to the top so it doesnt get lost.....the mods can monitor it so that only entrys are submitted not comments or anything then when the deadline comes we can close the thread and add a poll or make a new thread poll

hey, guys, i just started a truck, a silverado with dubs and a sound system, i got so pics of me starting it and i was jsut wondering about the number of pictures thing, do you need a pic of me starting it now, or do i put one pic of it before and after, and how would i go about this. because i was think that if your only allowed 2 pics, you cant really show all your mods, like i want to just show my rims and my speakers and then the paint at different angles, and i mean whats the point of putting speakers in if you cant see them in just one pic, you know what i mean, if you could show like one front, one side and one rear and maybe one chassis and then the pic of the before, that would be cool, thanks though, i like this competition thing, lucky i was starting this truck now, cheack out the thread on it :)

well dutchy you could use ms paint or something to paste smaller pictures of your main picture to show your different mods. just an idea i mean i think one pic should only be allowed but who knows if they want 2 then 2 it is......

yep, make the thread, with a simple, and final list of rules. how many pics (IMHO it should be more than 2...), and 2 dates. the date entries are no longer accepted, and the date that voting will begin.
