I just put a new capacitor in my skyline, and can't believe the difference in power. Holy crap it's fast. Very easy to do, just takes a little soldering.

a capacitor is the little things that are soldered onto the motor but I dont see how upgrading them is going to make your car go faster

it provides more power so its faster acceleration

this was the NEWEST capacitor thread I could find while doing a search. Can the evo's use a capacitor upgrade too? I've worked with caps before and can solder easy enough. I just need to know a few more details about it. Like what is the value of the new cap used?

i read the capacitors that you can fit onto a xmod are way too small to provide a noticible difference in performance.

the caps i got make a BIG difference in power. what they do is... they increase the amps and flow of power running through your motor. this will make it turn faster, therefore making your car faster. i will get a tut when i change mine out, from the tiny upgrade ones to tha hugh AA think ones. it isn't really that hard.

a cap does nothing but store energy. if it's being charged with nothing more than the batteries from your xmod than you will see no change. Whether you have 4.8v or 7.2v power source the cap is being charged with the source voltage, and inturn will not double the voltage.
