okay if i dont have a solder what else can i do?

for some reason my wire that connects to my battry cartridge came off
and i dont have a solder...what can i do?

By the soldering tools at radio shack they have soldering tape. Becareful with this though. all you need are some matches. put it on the wre and heat it and put it up to were you want it.

Be very careful though!

or if your warrenty is good, return it.

the same thing happened to me and i tried everything to fix it.nuthing worked so i went and got a new xmod

You can get a cheap soldering iron and some solder for under $15, abnd a good multi-tipped one for $20-$30

you can get a soldering pen from a dollar store and solder its self is like 5 dollars

I love it, mainly because of the dual wattages, power switch, and the holder makes a good 3rd hand.

to stixx or a good xmod person..........
how do you install 6 7 8 or 9 cells?
i heard you can do it without a soldering tool if this is true would you post instructions

Edit: to stixx how do you install those cells without a soldering tool
can't buy one only 13

but i do have a fast car

AVcomp: 2 things. First, don't dig up very old threads, and second, the butane's a bit much for an xmod, and you'll probably end up melting parts while soldering if you use butane.

Mustang Guy: There's an edit button for a reason, so stop triple posting. Even if you're 13, you should still buy a soldering iron (I'm 16 and have been soldering for at least 3 years). If you can't get one, then you can't add extra cells.

I use a 100w but i've never used it on my XMOD (not yeaht), with a 100w do you have the risk of heat dissapation in to capacitors and other stuff win solder on circuit boards? 100w or higher is all I recomend in the full size car world.

You'll probably melt the board. Stick with the low wattage.
