I would like to know how you do the 9 volt upgrade. I just upgraded my capacitor and going to add to more AAA to it, but if the 9 volt is a little more powerful, I'll go that way instead. Thank you.

ther are 2 drabacks to this mod. the battery life is shortened and it will not fit inside the body. but the increase in voltage will at least double your speed.
1. unsodier battery leads from aaa holder
2.solder a 9v battery connector onto thos leads (red=red black=black)
3. attach 9v
4. go fast!!!!!!!!!!

ps i do not kno th effects of capactors and the motor may cut out though if you over ride the capactors an put the power straight to the motor it should be fine

i took an old rc truck body and modified it so it would fit over my honda civic chassis motor etc. i then added two 9 volt batteries to the 4AAA batteries. i took the 9 volt battery hookups out of old alarm clocks because they provide plenty of extra wire to work with. i then screwed the 9v battery holders into the bed of the truck and i would say it easily goes about 25-30 mph

I'm going to discount that one. A buddy of mine put 2 9 volts into his supra and it blew up. I put a single 9 volt on top of the 4 AAAs, and the car does not seem to like it (shuts down after 30 seconds).

Do you guys realize how bad that is for the x mod? :nodno: The board can only handle 8.4v but its recommended that you only do 7.2v. Thats why the 2 9vs blew up your friends car and thats why yours shut down. Your going to ruin your car......

You can do a 9 volt if you had a regulator and upgraded fets(v1 board). Get lithiums...you spend a butt load of money buying 9vs. And if you guys do total your cars I am selling a supra :D

I know that, I'm suggesting against it! My car did not ever shut down. I have all the necessary mods to run 21 volts (5 li-ions). I was simply pointing out that it does burn up cars. I ran my RSX with a 9 volt on top of the AAAs, and it shut down after 30 seconds. It still ran fine after a cooldown, but I would say DON'T DO IT! Toguro, you need to read my posts much more closely before posting.

Yeah ur screwing ur xmod unless u get the special FETS. Even then with 2 9V Bats that will be 18 V and the highest FET capacity ive seen is like 11v, so u will have 2 stack the FETS which is hard

You need a reg to run more than 8.4 volts. Remember, there's more to a board than FETs, so just upgrading them will not let you have more voltage.

Jshwaa might sell a couple production versions of his new h-bridge, so that would be cool.
