View Full Version : sickest rsx project around

03-28-2004, 04:42 PM
I finally got started on my body modification which is gonna change the way xmod is right now. So far it has a rear wide bodykit on the left side. Still need to do the fenders, hood and a Buddy Club 2 front bumper.(rear still deciding) Gotta do a lot more sanding to make it smooth. I'll keep you guys updated.

03-28-2004, 08:20 PM
Thats f**king awsome dude :thumleft:

03-31-2004, 03:51 PM
thanks man. one question....are these forums always this dead? No one really post anything and they only look.

03-31-2004, 06:53 PM
its kind of an uknown site tell people about it and it may get bigger

04-05-2004, 04:24 PM
Yeah I'll try to tell as many people as I can. Sometimes the more people around the more trouble. Well in case you guys haven't noticed, I updated the pics with new progress. http://hometown.aol.com/eckoballa2k3/xmod.html

04-05-2004, 04:53 PM
yo sup that rsx is tight
is that blue one a civic??
Ur a member on xmodworld right? how long did it take to get the email confirming your rgistration cuz i never got it and i singed up like 10 times nice job on the car

04-06-2004, 11:52 AM
Thanx for the comment. The blue one is actually a mitshubishi eclipse gsx. And yes I'm registered on xmodworld. I just signed up and then automatically I got the email saying that I'm comfirmed.

04-06-2004, 11:54 AM
ill buy the eclipse for 20 bucks????
its sweet
Tell the peeps at xmodworld about the site anzballa

04-09-2004, 09:51 PM
Sorry, I don't sell my work. Well especially not my eclipse because it got me on the top 5 in the contest I was in recently. But yeah I'll go tell people.

04-10-2004, 10:23 AM
ok i can see why you placed so well that eclipse is awsome!!!!!

04-29-2004, 06:42 PM
How is your car coming along? Did you use plastic for the roof scoop?

05-02-2004, 02:57 PM
To tell you the truth I haven't been interested in my RSX project for a while. No plastic for the roof scoop. Everything is custom handmade. I don't take parts from other models or whatever and put it on. To me thats lame. Anyone could do that.

05-02-2004, 06:41 PM
no i ment plastic sheets strylene sheets to make custom models from scratch

05-02-2004, 09:09 PM
Thats awsome so what color are you going to paint it? Then, are you going to put vinels on it?

05-03-2004, 04:32 PM
It'll probably be some sort of candy color. Maybe red. I didn't use any plastic sheets. And hell no I'm not putting vinyl stickers on it. That would ruin the beauty and hard work on this xmod.

05-08-2004, 12:01 AM
Hey SupaSupraBob13, I check the forums out almost everyday. If you ever need help moderating the forums then you could count on me. I'll be glad to. Well theres not much modding around the forums yet. Maybe when we get a lot more people comming here.

05-08-2004, 10:42 AM
yeah not much modding needed but that would be great if u could help tell more peeps about the forum

05-12-2004, 04:21 PM
i could moderate to ive been on every day since i logged in :hail:

05-13-2004, 04:52 PM
i think that with the size of the forum we would only need one more mod right now but if it gets alot bigger then ur help would be greartly appreciated

05-13-2004, 08:03 PM
ok cool :bigwink:

05-14-2004, 04:40 PM
i hope your car comes out the way you want it to. im rebuilding my supra and painting it so the paint wont be stock colors because the stock colors suck.well most. rsx's rock and your awsome.and do you know anything about leds and installing them on your car????? if so tell me at what to use for neons. and again your awsome

05-16-2004, 02:50 AM
supasuprabob13- were you talking to me or nismo_34?

supraspecial-thanks for the comment. well for neons....i'm not the type of guy you want to ask since i'm not a electical type of person. sorry. you could always use the leds for the head/tail lights for underglow and stuff. thats all i know bout doin electrical things. sorry if it didn't help.

05-16-2004, 11:06 AM

05-20-2004, 07:27 PM

05-28-2004, 10:09 PM

06-23-2004, 05:31 PM
where is ur rear bumper dude....bring it back to the body shop lol..sick ride!!!!!!

06-23-2004, 08:46 PM
well i'm back at it again!! finally got interested in workin on my rsx. its been a while. almost complete with the WBK and roof scoop. the rear is being smoothed out and being shaped so that i could make it into a buddyclub2 rear bumper. (in case you're wondering about the little front bumper in the last pic. its for my 1/43 scale model i was workin on. it shows what i can do to models.) anyways heres the pics http://hometown.aol.com/aznstrtlegend/newprogress.html

06-27-2004, 02:35 AM
heres some early progress i've been doing on my hood. the reason i showed it now is for the people who don't believe that i've been doing this work and the people who never seen it. i'll show completed pics next time along with my custom bumper (buddyclub 2 rear bumper). http://hometown.aol.com/aznstrtlegend/xmodhood.html

06-27-2004, 06:57 PM
Cool! That really looks awesome! :headbang: :yelcool:

06-27-2004, 10:44 PM

06-29-2004, 02:20 AM
thanx guys. hope fully i'll be able to get the hood done and show u guys thre rear by the end of the week. i got too many projects goin on at once right now so i may not be able to show you guys. my team mates on the other forums getting kinda mad that i spend more time on xmods than my other models. i hope to get this xmod over with soon.

06-29-2004, 11:15 PM
its alrite

06-30-2004, 09:01 PM
its alrite i guess you don't see the real beauty of it and the hard work put into it. fully customized and hand made to perfection. its not one of those easily done vinyl or body change work.

07-18-2004, 10:52 PM
got kinda bored today so i decided to do some side work to my rsx. got some custom rims i made to fit on it. don't really matter if others done it before me. didn't actually need new rims but i need new tires. the tires that came with it would always come off. so i decided to get i from my revell integra. personally i think its a lot better and more realistic. the tires hasn't come off yet. the down side is that i only have one set of 4 tires. and the other thing i did was experimenting with the springs. if you look closely theres a silver spring inside the blue ones. no clue if it gives it any increase in performance.its pretty ghetto. heres the link http://hometown.aol.com/aznstrtlegend/customrims.html

Nice man, that spring inside the spring looks good, Probally adds more "stiffness" to the suspension.

Cant wait till you do the Buddy rear.

Nice job so far asusally.

07-21-2004, 09:58 PM
Beautiful job man.

07-23-2004, 05:58 PM
thanks guys. well i just started painting the body today. letting it dry fully then i'm gonna wet sand it wit 2000 grit since theres so much orange peel. the color is a candy apple red. http://hometown.aol.com/aznstrtlegend/paintjob.html

07-23-2004, 10:28 PM
did u paint over the windows?

07-23-2004, 11:39 PM
yeah. then i'm gonna go over it with black paint.

07-26-2004, 01:40 AM
right now everything is painted. now here comes the bad part.....you guys won't be able to view it unless my computer would let me up load the pics on a site. if it doesn't by tuesday afternoon then......it won't be able to be viewed for about a month. if someone offers to put it on a site for me then that would be greatly appreciated or i'll just try to find a friend to do it for me.

07-26-2004, 04:55 PM
finally got a new site to host my pics. pics aren't good in quality but its still pretty clear. took it when it was really sunny. i'll try to get new pics of it tomorrow. http://www.picturetrail.com/aznballa2k3

Yes its a modifier, Hope you dont mine Azn if i answer some of their questions.

09-14-2004, 11:24 PM
that looks very nice what you use and where you get it

09-27-2004, 04:38 PM
thanks for answering some of my questions. i've been really busy and was on vacation for a very long time. thanks for the comments also. and yes that eclipse is a modifier. i came in 5th place that they had a contest for back in 2004 of January. the bumper is undercontruction still. well both are and also the hood. i only used sand paper and bondo for the WBK. but for the front/rear bumpers i'm using tamiya epoxy putty. Once again....I don't sell my work or do any work for other!![/u][/b]

09-27-2004, 06:18 PM
your rsx is crazy rediculous :thumrigh: .Have you seen an orange paint for xmods that looks anything like this? I want to paint one of mine like it

09-27-2004, 11:18 PM
thats a very nice color. i haven't seen a xmod with that color yet. we'll there could be one with that color. i don't really pay attention to xmods much anymore. anyways thanks for the comment.

09-27-2004, 11:34 PM
no prab :bigwink:

It'll probably be some sort of candy color. Maybe red. I didn't use any plastic sheets. And hell no I'm not putting vinyl stickers on it. That would ruin the beauty and hard work on this xmod.

I like your style. vinyl stickies take away from the lines and the flow of the paint. If it's a race car then fine, otherwise it's a waste of a good paint job

Candy apple red GT-R
CF driveshaft
lightened chassis
much much more to go

11-12-2004, 04:42 AM
hey aznballa2k4

that is 1 sick RSX keep up the good work on it...and the color looks sweet on it

11-12-2004, 03:13 PM
wow i would never drive that xmod body around on my chassis
not unless i was in walmart or something
it's just too HOT

11-14-2004, 12:35 AM
hey bro that rsx is looking hot keep up the good work

11-14-2004, 08:13 AM
those were the good old days. Thats when I started and the forum was small the the whole sight was diffrent.

11-16-2004, 03:10 PM
watchu ramblin bout now

07-10-2005, 02:56 AM
hey everyone!! back once again. been busy lately. as u can see already, lots of projects going on. and my rsx xmod is one of them.
working on painting skills.
project veilside mr2 modifier
"curve anubis" eclipse
the progress is turning out nicely. rsx is getting a lil dusty. just some eye candy for u guys. lots of things going on at one time. hopefully i'll actually finish it this time.

07-11-2005, 02:09 AM
what is the material used in creating the side skirts on the mr2 veilside modifier?

07-11-2005, 02:30 AM
tamiya epoxy putty

07-16-2005, 03:18 AM
Dude you are so good! Keep up the good work!

07-16-2005, 05:19 PM
almost done with my charge speed front. i just need to clean it up and add some putty. next time u see it, it'll be painted.

07-16-2005, 11:30 PM
wow! Omg im lovin that front end!!!!Dude your work is so smooth! Is the epoxy soft like styrafome after it dries or is it hard? Oh and did you decide not to have the hood the way it was, with the hood scoop type things?

07-17-2005, 12:21 AM
Looking good man, keep it up

i wish i had your skills. the only thing i can do is convert model cars into xmod bodies. (cutting them in half and epoxying it back together to make it shorter and find a way to mount it to the chasssis)

07-17-2005, 12:40 AM
thanks for the comments. the putty dries up hard. i haven't decided how i want to make the hood. that would probably be last on my list right now.

07-17-2005, 01:56 AM
**** ur good man looks like it did before tight

07-17-2005, 10:37 PM
i cant wait for the next set of pics! Hopefully you will have it painted and it will look tight!

07-26-2005, 12:48 AM
finished painting the bumper. all i need to do is detail it and shine it all up. accidently drop the body. so i gotta touch that up too. in my opinion, it doesn't look good with the cf hood.

07-26-2005, 10:39 PM
shined up the front. it looks pretty clean. i tried to get as much of the dust and lint crap off of the car before i took pics of it. i think i'll have to paint the body again because of some accidents i had with the body.

07-27-2005, 12:31 AM
looks fantastic ... how many times have u repainted that thing?

07-30-2005, 02:09 AM

i don't know. i lost count.

07-30-2005, 02:09 AM
i'm almost finished with painting the rear. new pics possibly sometime next week. already starting to find things for my next project. i just can't decide if i want to go ricey or not. what do u guys think? here are some links of what i want to do.

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.sportcars.dhs.org/Pictures1/130_3072.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.sportcars.dhs.org/index.cfm%3Ffuseaction%3Ddisplayit%26Picture_ID%3D 1611&h=788&w=1024&sz=180&tbnid=WxVhPrX5F4kJ:&tbnh=115&tbnw=150&hl=en&start=103&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcustom%2Bsupra%26start%3D100%26svnum% 3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN

those are what i want to do on the side of the supra.

i know for sure i want to do this hood.

and possibly the front bumper of this supra.

08-05-2005, 06:55 PM
what do you use to shape the putty and stuff?

Team RedLine
08-11-2005, 04:58 PM
nice roof scoop

08-19-2005, 04:58 AM
i had a conversation with a fellow xmodder. told me a few(maybe a lot) people think that i never made the wbk for my rsx and i just bought it some where and molded it on. i'm not surprised by what this person told me. i mean that's what i get for creating something that looks too perfect for someone to make.

i started this project around march 2004. the old school xmodders seen my project when it first started. people like cxp, cyslyde, blkcivic, and the others back in the day were there in the beginning.

i won't make this story that long. is the wbk real or fake? my answer is "REAL."

i pretty much finished the whole car today. almost all ready to show to everyone. then i had a chat with someone. basicly i didn't care about showing my rsx anymore. i was more involved with proving that i created this masterpiece. everything was waxed up and shiny for the next days photo shoot. i was about to destroy the wbk just to show that it was all out of bondo. i was about to too. it didn't matter to me. but i didn't because the person wanted to see the complete car and didn't want me to ruin it.

here's the thing that i really don't understand. i've showed progress pics of my bumpers. and still, there r some that still won't believe that i made the wbk. wouldn't the bumper be more astonishing than a simple looking wbk?? since i have the skills to make custom bumpers...wouldn't that mean i could easily make a wbk?

no offense to people who decide to buy pre-made kits or whatever for their xmods. i personally think that that is the easy way out. it's understandable for those who can do it themselves. i've seen a lot that try and fail. it just doesn't satisfy me when its not my work.

i'll just end it here for now.

btw, sorry if i sound conceited in some parts. i'm just proud of my work. i just really dislike it when i'm seen as a fake or whatever. if u have any questions or anything then u can just IM me at aznstrtlegend or email me at aznstrtlegend@yahoo.com

the finish product of my rsx. started it back in march 2004. i tried to get a nice sunset picture but there were too many houses and trees blocking the sky. i also included a some pics of another rsx body with the old look it had back when i had it. enjoy the finished product!! :D
