I do i made it myself i took it of a 92 pontiac sunfire and placed it in cut a hole in the roof painted it epoxyed it on and gave it another cioat

insted of a hood scoop put on a kustom blower like in the musscle cars. i did it by taking a blower off a muscle machine car i found at kmart and used plastic glue from the hobby store to put it on. it looks great!


Note: the Xmods front end is just low enough to fit under the bottom of a door when u crash into it. with the Blowers on, the door will chop them right off!!! lol. this has happened to me sevrel times :wink: but i just re-glued itand it is as good as new

I use plastic sheets or I use a peice of playing card and shape it into the shape I want then I put modeling epoxy or bondo over it. I am thinking of buying a model kit that has a nice hood or roof scoop.

BLOWERS ARE FOR MUSCLE CARS ONLY!!!!!!!! A SUPRA IS NOT A MUSCLE CAR AND NEITHER ARE THE OTHER XMODS!!!!! THEY LOOK GREAT WITH MUSCLE CARS BUT NOT ON IMPORTS!!!!!!!

I am not too fond of the scoops. I like small scoops that give great air than a big one.

i put a roofscoop on my black skyline and i think it looks dope and it serves a purpose i cut a hole under it to cool motor down check it out in the pics album

I made a nice hood and roof scoop made from the slope part on the upper deck of any xmod. it looks really sick. If I had a camera, i would show you guys.
But I drove the car at full speed in a Gym untill the batteries were dead... the car wasnt even hot!

dude im sorry to say but if you dont know what a blower is then somethings wrong. A blower is a supercharger, it uses a pully on the engine and it compresses and forces more air into the engine. This creates a bigger explosion because the oxygen is what causes something to explode.it usually increases your Horsepower by 20 to 60% depending on the Boost (p.s.i) engine internals (pistons, heads etc) and other facotrs. by the way a blower is for a real car, they dont have any real ones for the xmod.

My '04 Focus has a Steeda supercharger system, with the 2.3 ZETEC before it was running about 185 HP, dyno'd after the supercharger it was turning about 260 at the front wheels, with a 8:1 overdriven pulley. The problem with superchargers while it concentrates the amount of air being sent to the engine it causes other problems with internal parts in engines not designed for it. Valves were a problem for my car until I had the head rebuilt, now it's fine.

I haven't ventured into roof scoops for XMODS yet but now I'm getting interested in putting one in a project car.

Actually I have a friend that has a Banks Supercharger on an '88 Prelude, along with a two stage nitrous system. The whole engine is so freeking trick, the car is almost illegal for street.

A BLOWER (SUPER CHARGER MOUNTS ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD OF A
V-8 (OR LARGER) THAT WOULD BE HARD TO DO WITH A STRAIGHT 4 CYLINDER. IMPORT MOTORS USE TURBOS FOR FORCED INDUCTION. THE TURBOS ARE MUCH MORE EFFICIENT FOR THE 4 CYLINDER, BECAUSE THEY RECYLE THE EXHAUST OF THE MOTOR. THE BLOWERS HAVE TO USE THE MOTORS OWN POWER TO OPERATE THE BELT AND PULLY SYSTEM FOR IT TO FUNCTION. (A LOT LESS EFFICENT FOR A CAR THAT IS ALREADY STARVING FOR POWER)

you can put a blower on an imbort
a blower is a type of supercharger where to gears are truned by bulllys to forces air into the motor, you can mount these on any kind of engine, ive even seen one form blitz on a rotory engine in a rx-8, most of the time when you see superchargers on a import you see the type where its basicly a turbo with the impeler that the exost gas blows over is replaced by a pully.

i bought an Eclipse model kit and it came with a roof scoop so i just decide to turn my eclipse into an Xmod. i just got done shortening it and painting the base paint. all i have to do now is clearcoat it and put on the decals and clearcoat it again. A pic of the model kit is in my sig
