build your own chassis and then put a set of bigger tires on it

the biggest tires i tried to put on mine were 3 cm and they just rubbed so if you fine rims and tirers that are big but a tad bit smaller then 3 cm you should be good but should still check just incase it's not good

i think it is prety much imposible to lift that type of suspention without extrem mods. cause you need more of a short arm long arm suspention set up

I ran the M/Ts from the lift kit on my gen 1 for awhile. can't get the body on, but it'll work fine with the chassis.
but, no, Gen1's cannot be lifted without completely re-engineering the chassis/suspension, or doing a body lift. it just isn't possible...sorry.
you might be able to use an evo lower front control arm, on the front, and cut the tabs off the chassis where the knuckle attaches, then maybe flip the tie rod over, and extend the upper mounts....and the rear.....yikes. completely re-engineer
get an evo.
