i agree with it being expensive and a rip off. but powder coat will add 1/2oz if none. not doubleing the weight.

Keenansdad if you looked around, you would of have saved some $$ rather then buying from atomicmods. im not bashing atomicmods. his prices are just a tad bit high.

cheers!

The switchblade reminds me of the old Bolind Renegade 1/12th car. It was always tweeked, one corner always weighed more than the others so under exceleration it pulled one way or the other. Not good for road racing. I would probably perchase a ZERO products graphite chassis before a Switchblade. Just my opinion.

well then how much does that chassis weigh then? My after market chassis weighs less then 14 grams ......

Each corner has its own weight dependant on your front to rear percentage. Usually a slightly higher weight in the rear. However your fronts will weigh equal side to side same with the rears.

cheked it out and the switchblade looks like it would stand up to abuse better than the carbon chassis! carbon chassis probably weighs less but itll never withstand the abuse i put my cars throu anything else out there!???:-?

I'm not sure about that. I'm concerned about that top plate creating tweeks.

i heard the switchblade worked well it is very porportional and leved out so that weight is't a foctor and i justt bought the stiletto chassis from them for my evo so it would be a good choice but you could also look at cpx= www.customxmodparts.com

Im trying to order the Race Alloy chassis from cXp but
they arent replying to my Email nor are they putting
the "cart" up to order it?
Not sure how long it takes to get the hardware for them
as this is what he is waiting for.

cxp parts dont seem to atractive to me though. i would rather the CF over ALM cause like metioned it wont bend it will keep its shape

I have a switchblade chassis and I'll tell ya something...the thing weighs next to nothing. You'd be surprised how much just the EP adds to the weight factor. Powder coating doesn't add the weight that you think it does. I've been looking at the CXP chassis and would like to compare them. I keep waiting for them to be available again.

it really doesnt matter on the application used:

Alloy - Bends/warps/breaks
CF - Shatters/splinters/etc...

Its up to you as the consumer to decide on whats best
for your type of preference.

im not sure about the delrin being stronger then metal
as ive seen the stuff strip myself...
but Delrin glides better than plastic meaning less friction.
