Hey guys I was out this weekend and started to buy paints to mod my xmod car. Well how to say this the **** hit the fan...Everything went wrong. And I dont know y. I had painted the car blue just as planed. Then I put some tape on it (brofre) on the window. Then after on the blue paint I marked flames on it. Everything went fine I left it outside for a couple days to let it dry. Then after that was done I maked it with sand paper again so the paints would dry right. Then I took the silver. I painted it and walked off(a very light coat). When I came back it had looked like I had put renolds wrap on my car. It looked like some *** hole took freaking aluminum wrap and wraped my car then ran off. As I was yelling and screaming washing the **** off. I went and tried it again. Did the same ****ing thing. After I let it dry for a couple days I finally said forget it. THen i sanded it and threw some black on it. It looks better but still has some rough spots. Can anyone tell me what went wrong?

Thanks!,
Demon

when i had my first xmod... it was acrapline i had the same prob. but what i did diff was i used primer, after i taped off the windows and lights.then i had some extra tape i use when i do custom flames on real cars. marked it off used my main paint let itdry then i removed the tape. then i got my air brusher and air brushed the flames. then i put a fine coat of clearcoat. but i have been painting real street cars for a long time, it just takes patience and practice.i actualy do all the paint on the xmods in my whole area :hail: :firedevi:

when I did my car I wet sanded it first with 1500 grit, sprayed several light coats of primer. Don"t rush it the solovents in the spray can WILL react with the factory finish(Xmods have a thin coat of color and clear)and will cause it to wrinkle.Once you get the primer to lay flat and you have about 2-3 coats, Lightly wet sand the primer and cover with your choice of colorSince I work in a bodyshop I chose to use automotive finish. Check it out in the picture post. I hope this helps and good luck!

the more humid that it is outside then the longer it takes to dry and probly more bubbles will show

let it dry inside in a well ventilated room...
