In honor of the Holiday season, the Xmodsource Staff is offering a special "Open Class" Car of the Month competition for the month of December. Since this is the season of giving, the Xmodsource Staff is also glad to announce that there will be a special prize awarded to the winner of this months competition. This entry thread will specify eligibility as well as the format that needs to be followed while entering this months competition.
Please be sure to read the following rules and guidelines carefully! Failure to comply with one or more of the following rules and guidelines WILL result in the pulling of your entry. No one wants this to happen, so please be careful and thorough!
Rules for Entering the December COTM:
1. Your entry must be a fully functioning Xmods RC owned by yourself at the time of the competition. Any Xmods sold to another member/person at the time of the competition will be removed.
2. All entries must be submitted no later than December 31, 2010 at 9:00PM EST. Any entries submitted after that time will not be entered into the competition. Do it right, do it early, and don't have to worry about it.
3. This is an "open class" competition. Any fully functioning Xmods RC are allowed. Doesn't matter if it is a touring car, a truck, a crawler, or a Honda. As long as it meets the stated requirements, it is eligible.
Rules for Participating in the December COTM:
1. Any member of Xmodsource.com is eligible to enter.
2. All members are limited to one entry. Please remember that this entry must be your Xmod, in your possession, at the time of the competition.
3. Pictures:
3a. All pictures must be entered prior to December 31, 2010 at 9:00PM EST. Any editing done after December 31, 2010 at 9:00PM EST will result in the pulling of your entry.
3b. A minimum of four pictures is required.
3c. A maximum of seven pictures is allowed.
3d. Of these four to seven pictures, one must be of the chassis ONLY. The other three to six pictures may be of whatever part of the Xmod you like, and at whatever angle you please.
3e. Reread 3d.
4. A list of all body upgrades, chassis upgrades, and electronics upgrades is required at time of submission.
Rules for Voting in the December COTM:
1. To vote you must have been a member of Xmodsource.com since before November 31, 2010. Anyone who has joined after that date is not able to vote.
2. All entries are due on December 31, 2010 at 9:00PM EST in order to create an accurate voting thread. One week will be allotted for voting. Voting will end January 7, 2011.
3. As a reminder, voting is watched VERY closely. Anyone caught cheating is instantly disqualified; infraction points could also follow, as well as possible suspension from the website. All votes considered cheating, or made by members after the required date, are removed from the final tally.
As always, all rules are subject to change. All members will be notified if a change occurs.
The Prize:
As it stands right now the prize has not been finalized. When the prize is finalized, this thread will be edited and all members will be notified of the updates. Please check this thread, as well as the discussion thread, frequently for any updates regarding a prize.
