Yes! I've finally come across a beater hakosuka! I won't disclose how much I paid for it, but it was very reasonable.

IT LOOKS SO TRASHY D:
the flaws in this body:
- missing foglight? lens on front
- cracked rear window
- NO SPOILER :( (not hard to make, but im going spoilerless)
- the fenders were cut up HORRIBLY.
- scratches so deep and abundant on the roof that you'd think this was a cat's ball of yarn.
but after days of putty and sanding...
one side with 75% completed fender

other fender still in progress

smoothest roof in the world.

No one with a hakosuka, custom made or straight out of the box, has ever painted the middle section of the taillights silver. It was my OCD that kicked in, as well as my love for the car itself, that I just HAD to do whats right.

and for the grille, I trimmed off the headlights and some excess plastic to be more realistic, as seen here:

More coming up:
-front and rear chrome bumper bars
-factory grille
-factory headlights
-paint (going for a monochrome colorscheme again, like all my cars)
pretty much like:
